Hi there, love it thank you 🙂
I forgot to say, I just subscribed❤ I also shared this video on pinterest. I hope that helps you channel❤
I've lived alone for 10 years since my fiance died and I taught myself to crochet 9 years ago. Anyway, I've been wanting to wanting to go to our assisted living or nursing care facilities, this would be great I could make these and bring them and talk to the people. Thank you so much, it must be fate that this video popped up.❤
...so much better than playing mindless cell games xoxo ;-)))
I am in love with these! I made 3 and I’m sending them to family & friends all over the country!
Thank you 🙂
Very very good tutorial❤ Though the twists can get confusing at some point, but that's just the nature of the project. I also suggest using lighter-coloured yarn next time for a clearer tutorial. Very nice overall, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you! 😊
How do you wash them?
You can follow the washing instructions on the yarn label. I plan to make mine out of cotton or acrylic so that the recipient doesn’t have to follow any special care instructions. Just wash and dry.
Thank you :-)
Gonna make... awwsome
Thank you :-)
Cute
Thank you 🙂
You are not doing single crochet back but half double crochets.
I am from SA this is just how I learned, I apologize for this then.
@@crochetandcreateforcharity - I am also south african.
@@karenschaper871 OH 👋🏻 hi there 😊
Thank you for the easy tutorial! My friends and I are all autistic/adhd and fidget toys really help with that and anxiety. I am also making one for my aunt who has dementia. Thank you again!
You're Welcome! All the best 🙂
I am going to have to try and make one of these for my boyfriends brother that had Williams Syndrome and was recently diagnosed with loose joint disease in his fingers and has to try and do therapy to strenthen his hands and i seen these and thought this might help him!!!! Does anyone else have thoughts on this helping him?
Hi there, I am just following up, have you made some for him?
Thank you! I think I will be making several of these for my mother
Wonderful pattern, thank you.
You are welcome
Can this lovely vest be made with all sides and top joined for premmie babies
Yes 🙂
I think you did double crochet in your first row.
Those are half doubles…
Las tres primeras vueltas eran un punto bajo en cada punto? Aumento no habia no?
Great tutorial, just made my first one and it turned out great. Thank you!
:-) you are welcome!
Love this, going to make one for my son.
Have fun! :-)
Very easy to follow. Well done
Glad it was helpful!
I looove your accent omg
Oh my goodness thank you, I am Afrikaans :-) so we sound a bitt off for ourselves if we speak English
These are cool. thanks
:-) Thank you
Love it, but looks like HDC for first row?
Different terminology for different parts of the world. I know Europe also has different names of sts than in the US. Hope that helps
@risacrawford3775 FYI, that's not called SC anywhere. Also, she says SC in the next row as well, and she IS doing a different stitch (the c task SC) 😊. It's ok though.
It honestly doesn’t even matter with these. I do them all in SC, but you can use whichever you like really.
Where can I get this pattern.
Sorry for the late reply, I had to recover my account. Just check if I did not type it out in the description box.
I love making these to donate. Most of mine go to children. Your pattern is very clear and easy to understand. Thank you 💕🧶
I am so happy, that is great, thank you for spreading the love. From your hand to theirs, such a great feeling.
This is amazing!!! Thank you so so much for this pattern😊
You're welcome 😊
How many rounds did you do? And what was the weight of your yarn?
Hi there, you can do as many sounds as you like, if it's for and adult about 10 to fit into the hands. I can not remember the yarn type because it was different ones combined. All my scraps laying around. The thicker the yarn the less rounds.
Thx for explaining this in detail. Great tutorial! 😊
Thank you 😊 💓 and enjoy
@@crochetandcreateforcharity you're very welcome 😊
thank you so much for making this!! super helpful!
Your welcome, enjoy making them.
It's hard to see stitches when it's done all in gray, every row. I'd love to see a demo done in lighter, different colors. I love your color combos!
Great idea!
Very good
Thank you
I was FINALLY able to do it thanks to your tutorial. I tried so many! Thank you!
Amazing, I am so glad. Thank you for the kind words.
I had the same problem I tried so many times until watching this tutorial
Great idea
Thank you! 😊
Your first row was double crochet, was this supposed to be single crochet?
i also noticed that the first row was actually half double crochets, I wonder what difference it will make, shorter? tighter?
@@hogwartswhovian I think it will make keeping track of the twist easier. I was only doing single crochet back along the first row of chain stitches and it’s hard to tell if you’re getting the twist correctly. I also like how she slip stitches to connect the other side when she gets back to it. I’m going to start doing it her way. I’ve made over 40 of these for our local veterans hospital. But really, it’s such a forgiving pattern, it really doesn’t matter as long as you get a twist in it. 😊
UK terms are different than us terms
@@alexdavis2564 The US single crochet is double crochet UK, she did HDC half double crochet US which is half treble crochet UK, US double crochet is treble crochet UK.
What a good idea! Thank you for sharing.
Just a pleasure, enjoy the pattern 😀
Love them will have to try them
Thank you, supper easy. Enjoy 😉
Thank you for making this tutorial. This is very helpful!!
Hi there, pleasure.
Will surely try this. Love the look of this block with the little holes.
Thank you. 😊
Thank you for this, now I also know how to do a magic circle.😍👍
You’re welcome 😊
Love the look of these squares, thank you for this.
Just a pleasure.
Thank you for a great pattern. I just have a query with your row numbering as I am trying to write down the pattern as I work along with you. You say row 2 but I find it is my row 3 and then when you add the 2nd sleeve in your row 11 you hdc 22 and chain 9 for the sleeve. Turn... Here I thought I'm starting another row from the shoulder down to the base but you say it is still row 11? Am I missing a step?
Hi there Kathryn, thank you for the compliment. It could be that I made a mistake, it was my 1st video, think I was nervous. Let me watch the video and see what I did. Otherwise I will have to type the pattern out.
@@crochetandcreateforcharity oh good, glad I was on the right track. I'm sure lots of people will find your video very helpful. While editing maybe mentioning you are using US terms not British terms will help some folk. Hope you make more videos. Good luck.
@@kathrynpitot8730 Really appreciate your input. Will certainly do that. I would have to do the video over next week for the visual learners and correct it. Will then just upload another one and I will tag you in the link.
Hi there Kathryn, I have corrected my mistake. I said row 22 instead of row 12 in my video but will take a few days to update. However your question about row 2. That is how I did it it seems like row 3 but it is your row 2, my tip pause the video and write down where I typed the pattern out. Chain 31 Row 1: HDC BLO start from the 2nd chain, chain 2 turn your work your should have 30 HDC Row 2: Make 30 HDC BLO, chain 20, turn your work, make 19 SS in chain, work back 30 HDC, chain 2 turn. Row 3: Make 30 HDC BLO, chain 2 turn Row 4: Make 30 HDC BLO, chain 2 turn and so on.
