There are so many antique violins on eBay, but one thing is for sure that they are not from the 18th century at all, some even look so abstract in shape And my suspicion is that the violin was deliberately made by ordinary carpenters once they found out Stradivarius violins cost millions of dollars (but of course violinists have so many calculations and Observant, not easily deceived. Randomly scratched and dirty cheap violins or even just such "crafts" are too obviously fake at a glance). But are some antique violins that are copies of violins from the 18th century worth restoring? Several old violins that I suspect are original from before the 19th century are in condition Regardless of all the parts, but one thing that fake violins don't have is a perfect and beautiful shape, a smooth deep colored varnish (with few scraches), Contoured varnish that follows the surface of the wood (specially desired on Top Plate, for example the contour has vertical lines that go into the wood), also the perfect size and shape of the outer plate (and f Hole) like no other.
