I know this feeling quite well... after I graduated from high school I actually never really had that feeling of community again. That feeling of belonging and having a safe space where I could just be the way I am and feel accepted... I also wonder if this ever will occur again or is it just not a part of modern society anymore...? Everyone is doing their own thing, we are freer than ever but with it maybe comes the feeling of loneliness...

I have feelings of loneliness as well. What I missed the most were people who had known me for 20+ years. I first met people and they were kind and nice, but they were much younger and we didn’t have shared life experiences except being expats in France.
