Gumball Capri Orange Alder body, Allparts chunky C neck shape, 9.5” radius, medium jumbo frets (6105), bone nut, Fender tuning machines, aged fender hardware, Gotoh 101TS bridge with steel block, CTS pots, Fender PIO cap, cloth wire, 57/62 Fender pickups. Shure SM57 mic on a 74 Fender Vibrolux, RAT pedal for dirty tones.

Masonorous FX Black Glass Germanium Overdrive

Here is a quick rundown of a few different settings on the Black Glass Overdrive by Masonorous FX. Strat-Virtual Vintage Dimarzio's-74 Deluxe Reverb. Recorded with a flip video on the fly so excuse the not so professional quality and a few flubs here and there. RC-2 looper towards the end. Mostly played through the neck pickup to show the single note tone of the pedal.

How is the feel and playability? How does it feel to play? How does it compare to a squier classic vibe? The guitar you are playing is very expensive in India...
I like the Vintera series, the fit, finish, and tone are spot on. I’d prefer this model over the Squier. Just an all around higher quality build.

Hi John, it’s a 1974 Fender Deluxe Reverb and if I remember correctly a little bit of compression from a Boss CS-2.
glad i saw your demos, i ordered one not knowing it didnt have the 5 position switch , i wanted that funky quack tone that fender has, i know its hh pick ups, but the sound you have there is what i wanted. so i dont think il be dissapointed, thanks , subscribed. great playing there too.

Hi Jevon, I have not tried them with fuzz but I like to think the clean tones are just an extension of the overdriven tones. They sound fantastic with overdrive, hope this helps! 🎸

I recently purchased an Affinity HH that looks like a carbon copy of the one being played here.....my question is which pick ups does my 3 way switch go to? I am very new to electric guitar, this being my first, and am quite the noob. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Played this one in a music store some time ago, really nice sound, nice feeling neck, nice build quality. It was thick yet somewhat twangy in typical Fender fashion in it’s tone, really unique. Am thinking of buying one 👍

Hey just wondering if you still have this guitar? Ones come up cheap in my area, but I'd want to swap out the pickguard + pickups. Just wondering if you liked the playability also - as I'm considering swapping the neck also haha. Thanks!
For the money I think it’s a decent guitar. My only gripe was the el cheapo tremolo that just wasn’t very smooth, and bridge saddle adjustment screws needed lock-tite to stay in place. I sanded my neck with 0000 steel wool and then polished it with wax, much better feel. The pickups are not bad bud a little dark and “thuddy” sounding. (For lack of a more intelligent description). Frets needed a polish as they were rough and scratchy. Some TLC and you’ll be in good shape for a low dough investment. 😊
I love my 57/62 set! That strat looks tasty, fat headstock, blacked out on the orange with a maple board.... 😍
I just got the 70's hh and it does not have the out put that my epiphone 335 hh has at all. I thought it might should as good as my 335 so I guess I need to put better Humbuckers in it to be more hot.. What do you think? Thank you
Hey bud, being they are really two different types of guitars and both have their own tonal differences going on.. I would try not to compare them. They are gonna be different and unique to their own merits. I didn’t find the stock pickups to be low output, just a little muddy and flat sounding.. Hope this helps!?
Try turning up your Gain control(s) just a tad before swapping out pickups.

@@Slinkyguitarnerd$150 ughhhh I paid full price, you are the big winner. Are you OK with stock pickups? I feel we have been brainwashed to immediately change pickups. BTW buying fine sanding sheets, like $8 on Amazon and working the fret ends makes a world and I mean world of difference, feels like a smooth expensive guitar now. I am so good at setups, I need to play the instrument more and play with the instrument less.
@@bluwng stock pickups are not bad for ceramic entry level quality. I found them to be slightly dark/muddy. I’ve since replaced them with Dimarzio HFH.

Hi Reza, I would play them side by side and see which one speaks to you. I have played them both and they each have a slightly different voicing due to the pickups. They both share the same neck profile, fret size, radius etc. Cheers!
I have the jazzmaster and if you plan to install aftermarket pickups at any point I would get the strat. I just changed pickups on the jazzmaster and it was a major pain in the but !! MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone 🎄🙂

@@Worsttalkfilm yes string articulation on jazzmaster is good and I think both will work for blink 182 with the right overdrive or distortion pedal !! So I would pick the one you like the look of best !! I got the jazzmaster but I want to get the strat with humbuckers also hehe . We just need to buy all of them 😂 😂
