Hi African Women in Media, great work on your content! It seems like this channel is on the verge of something amazing. A bit of guidance could make all the difference, and I can help. My info is right here on this channel I'm using to comment.
Very powerful and insightful conference. Keep it up AWIM❤
Thank you ❤
It was a pleasure joining, collaborating and participating with different people representing our beautiful continent ❤ Thank you (I hoped the video was a bit longer)
Thank you for hosting us!
As i near the end of the podcast, i just want to admit that challenges of the newsroom are similar everywhere. We need to do better. I hope more media bosses hear this episode
Thanks Dr. Yemisi for such an eye opening conversation. I think i would have been very keen to hear how Verah strives to achieve impartiality in all her journalistic works considering how close to home most (if not all of them) are to her own life story.
Ahhhh Verah was our mentors in our training facilitated by the Thomson Reuters foundation. She remains one of the finest media brains this continent has. Happy to listen to her views. I know theres a lot to learn from her as always
Thanks for sharing!
There's a rare ability that Dr. Yemisi has that I wish to point out and applaud. From the very first question, she takes her guest on a journey of story telling that sees them reveal interesting details about themselves that they wouldn't have ordinarily expected to be asked. Moyo is a born public speaker and gender activist. Like me, she's a student of the general social science stream whose purpose saw her move into broadcast and strategic comms. I'm inspired.
Thank you for this lovely comment. We are glad Moyo's story inspired you. Please check out other episodes here linktr.ee/hermediadiary
Adelle is content. She has always been in tune with herself and it's clear for all to see. She is my biggest inspiration
I'm not in media. But I still chose to be part of the African Women in Media. It's everywhere that even in the minor places u would expect, and from the least expected people.
"There is something about the downtrodden. Your oppressor can just go" Thats how you know your passion, it will bother you.
"I used to be a curious child. I'm a curious adult, that hasn't changed at all. I was one of those kids who were always interested in the why of things. I think I subconsciously absorbed that I was good at speaking and communicating and then that came back into my life several years later" Arit Okpo.
Another similarity is certain wanting to be seen, working crazy newsroom shifts. I still don't have a social life to this day because of this
What she said about passing trauma similarly to a common flu opened my eyes up soooo much. Iv got a lot of introspection to make after this
Our Africa females needs to watch this programs

Well done to African Women in Media for the various presentations
It is not easy to expose your true self offline or online. As women we have hidden secrets we carry most of our life. If we do not share our personal stories offline. How can we expect for the community to embrace it? Fear! Stops us from reaching our full potential. We have to stand up to speak our truth. Women change the world...
Arit has a great voice.
