Although I will say when it comes to paying it goes both ways and saying it as someone who has gone on alot of dates including ones where girls have payed for the full thing (I order like one item anyways) I do understand Annie's frustration as it is equal to a guy who has to pay on every single date he goes and she clearly had a lackluster experience with those dates which would hurt even more and assuming if thats the same guy all 3 times... its worse although I will say no one is entitled to do anything and no courtesy is involved if you ask someone out you will likely pay for the date but if its mutual then preferably split the check

It's fkng insane. Most of the series it was 12. That's NOTHING! Even after they changed it on season 5 it was still 15. My sister's husband is 14 years older than her and they've been married for over 40 years! He's always been a tall, good looking and really healthy guy, he has more energy than she does.

I think Jeff didn't look down, because she paid for him. The looked down, because he is noch her boyfriend so she hadn't to pay for the date.
lmao when she said the three dates line she was definitely staring at Jeff. I'm guessing what happened is they went on pseudo dates but Jeff didn't want to admit it by paying, it's the only thing that makes sense because he spoils her otherwise

Idk, I think he's just not happy with the image of her being out with guys. Jeff not paying seems wildly out of character for him. That and I think Pierce would have given him a look at least, they're tighter at this point than they let on. I think it was probably just cut because it could have been misinterpreted.

All of these deleted scenes explain the the events of season 5 episode 13 so much better. Jeff has to create an intense wave of emotion in order to stimulate the robot to open the door. He has everyone turn around. Jeff looks at each of them and then once he gets to Annie and she says “milord” it peaks. Also on the last episode of the whole series one of Jeff’s pitches for season 7 is him, married to Annie, and they have a fucking kid together. They left those in but took these out? Fuck man.
also, when in S5 they ask Jeff if he keeps tokens of his sexual encounters, Annie ALSO gets offended.

She's not imagining marriage again lol. It's possible they dated for a while but kept their love for eachother a secret. Maybe she dated someone else after Vaughn. As she grew up some guys in the campus thought she was hot, Troy for example.
Knowing both Jeff and Annie, they most likely hung out alone once and Annie took it as a date where as Jeff wanted it to be a date but because of her age, to him it wasn't.

i'm sure they cut it because they didn't want it to be canon that jeff and annie had dated. think about it this way: what season was the worst out of the 6? season 4, most people agree! what is the only season any of the study group openly dated? season 4! i don't know how it works, but characters being in romantic relationships really screws things up.

Annie... for the most part built up a romantic... fantasy... thinking that she could change Jeff and they might get together... and he didn't exactly dispell her of that fantasy, between the kisses (plural), and the the longing looks... so... my initial thought is... maybe they spent time together... her thinking dinner was a date... but him thinking if she pays for herself... she can't consider it a date... The other presumption is that she is sharing way too much, and he cringes for her... his friend... but... probably more the former.
I think at this point of time it’s true but after Troy and Britta was a thing Jeff and Annie really got into each other like casually having a couple costume or sharing a room in the hotel. Jeff even lied in a deleted scene that Annie is his wife on the episode when they went to the inspector space time convention
Damn please stop putting ellipses in your writing everywhere. It’s really frustrating to read and isn’t appealing, also makes you seem slow and makes people think you’re acting sad or depressed. I had a friend that always did it over text and I had to actively avoid talking to them and it got on everyone nerves

I KNOW THEIR LOVE IS CANON BUT thinking about all the romantic scenes they had, at least just let them try

Dan harmon kept teasing the fans and eventually he went to far in s5 finale , By the revealed that jeff have a strong feelings for annie enough to opened the computer. he can't just claimed it was just chemistry. BUT he also didnt want to committed in anything so that why he set them apart. and then he give comment in dvd commentaries that these two are genuinely in love with each other. ughhhhh im so sick oh him 🤧
