I have a question since you’ve reviewed this and the XSPAX Amazon paddle. Is this paddle noticeably better than the XSPAX. Just curious how the two compare. Both have similar specs for size (grip length and width). Thank you for the feedback and insight

I have the C7, C8 and the Carry C7 all from A11N. They are awesome paddles! I bought all three paddles at $300 Canadian from Amazon which is ridiculously affordable compared to overpriced Selkirk and Six Zero. These are replacing my Six Zero Black Diamond and my Selkirk Halo which are now very well used. Awesome work at A11N

I’ve been playing with this paddle for a few weeks and it’s replaced my Joola Hyperion v2 as my go-to. I’m just a 3.6 level player but I feel this Invicta is helping me reach the next level. I added tungsten tape around all 4 corners because it felt too light, and this helped expand the sweet spot and add stability. I haven’t noticed the issue you described yet but I attribute my lack of control to my own skill.

Appreciate the review! I like the paddle but I've had a similar experience, with unpredictable shots when not hitting right on the sweet spot. What is that folding target/ basket you use for accuracy testing?

Thanks for the detailed review! I’m looking into the Control model and stoked to hear that the power is in the Control. Are the grip bevels defined enough that you can feel the notches?

I just got my HexaFlex first impression is the control and precession are really great! My drives are really powerful too with this. It Is slightly heavier than my old paddle but I don’t notice a huge difference and my drops and slams have gotten better with this paddle. I would reccomended it.

Thank you for your honest review. It's an Interesting looking paddle, but paying $200 for spray on grit is a hard pill to swallow. I doubt it'll last long. Currently, what's your favorite paddles?

Tip for ya on the cross court dinking, avoid short hopping or taking the ball right of the bounce. It’s really harmful to your offense/disguise and consistency.

No doubt that this is a fastest paddle I have played with. Their Edge series is always dominant on other paddles in the market. Carbon fiber gives you control over the ball and boost your shots whenever you want. Highly recommend!

  • @IceWalker-qn6gj
    @IceWalker-qn6gj 28 днів тому

This paddle is very understated, should be heard more. Kevlar surface is the trend now, I own a Kevlar blend paddle, I believe pure carbon fiber has its own benefit, which is crispy and responsive feel. A lot of people are after power, but to most of us, a balanced paddle leaning to control and being forgiving is all we need, X4 is such a paddle, it doesn't excel in any category but still in top tier of power, control, spin and sweet spot except I wish the pop could be a little more but it's double-edged sword, too much pop hurts control. A good feature of this paddle, often neglected, is that it's very stable with least vibration, maybe due to 11-layer construction. The quality is excellent. The cover is the best I've seen, faux leather with fleece lining. The paddle is a little heavy but in good way, very solid feel, you can see the quality in details from the surface, edge guard to handle. After 2 months of playing, it doesn't lose much of the spin, the paint of the logo doesn't even chip any little.

I won’t buy this paddle out of principle because of the marketing. Don’t claim it’s the fastest paddle on the market when it obviously isn’t. It’s not the fastest moving paddle and it sure as hell isn’t the fastest hitting paddle. There is no metric by which this paddle is the fastest of anything. BS marketing claims piss me off like no other.

Yes, you can add lead tape. You just have to apply tennis racquet tape over the lead tape. I've been using lead tape on mine for 2+ months without any problem.

I have this paddle and B&B Filth in my bag. This feels more like a control paddle for me - more power and spin with my Filth. BUT, I love serving with this paddle, feels like I can take a full cut and keep it in/deep. I have tried for different shock weights, not sure it has made much difference in playability. I said it was more of a control paddle for me…but it certainly has power when I want it. I know you have also reviewed the Filth - which do you like between these two?

I started with a warrior V2, then moved to the 18k power pro and loved it. Got the speed pro last week and coming from the power pro was a fast catch. Love the paddle, very nice power and very precise. Nice balance for power and soft game.

Thank you for sharing. A mention; the (any) pickleball paddles with the flat-top (straight line top) like the "Ice" are more for the mid to advanced players that evolved purely on pickleball alone (never played racquet sports before) while the curved top - "Fire" - are for mostly ex-pro tennis player that transition to pickleball. In tennis hitting with the racquet head bellow the wrist means.. laziness (not bending the knees enough..) while in pickleball the flat-top allows for hitting with the paddle in a vertical (bellow wrist position). Just a thought. Thanks again.

Just getting into paddle ball. Great review. for an intermediate * very athletic and a 4.5 tennis player) that doesn't need power ut wants spin and control I have narrowed the search to three paddles: Diadem icon v2 Middleweight, Vatic 14mm Prism Flash or Crown Black 14. I prefer NOT having grit paint but also want to not spend more than around 120 for a paddle. Suggestion on paddle of these three or other option ? Thx.

You are spot on with your review! The Nexus ProStar is doing something similar. But instead of the PP core, they added foam into the cells to give it that extra effortless power.

@@iniguez619 yes! Gives more pop and power than the Shogun. The shogun is great, but it’s kind of slow and soft. The ProStar is still not the fastest either but it gives more pop when in those fire fights.

Very worried about this trend. And highly doubt it's an administrative error. The coefficient of restitution meeting is really bad news. Don't think these paddles are anything special. If they were something the USAPA worried about selkirk wouldn't be developing the same design. The crackling could be their very poor quality foam used in the second layer. PE has no durability. The honeycomb should be no less durable. The way they attempt a floating core doesn't stand a chance.

Paddle is only 6-7/8 th wide from inside edge gaurd. I get alot of tip offs from the Filth's narrow paddle. Love love my paddle. Buts it hate love relationship at times. Wish it were a true 7 1/4" wide.
