I love senses fails songs, but man, BUddy cant hold it together. Their joshua tree live recordings are fantastic, but this was honestly shit. Which is sad cuz these songs are fantastic, and the band sounds awesome.

Is any1 in this apart of the original band? The drummer and lead guitar were def. not from the original band. Also the singer keeps switching to feminine undertone which i dont ever remember from the show i saw or albumns. Good music still and bands sticking together over 15-20 years is rare so not suprising.

Genuine question- is Buddy tone deaf?

I don't know what's up with former members of the band, I don't remember or know of the dramas or beefs members could have from the years past, and no shade on these fantastic instrumentalists, once I listened to the guitar guys for this performance(used to play guitar more often myself) get through the Sick or Sane Fifty for a Twenty solos, they pulled them off well, so they get double thumbs up from me, but it woulda been great if any former members like Dan the drummer, Garret and/or Heath guitars also. Even if the bass player Mike came back, he left shortly after this album came out like a year or so after that, that would have been something. Again, I definitely don't want to throw shade at these guys, they ain't pissed me off one bit, and for not being in the band originally and for them I don't know if they had shitloads of time or just a little time to learn two albums worth of material, but either way I feel they all nailed it and even if they messed up and I noticed, it was so quick it didn't really matter and they had quick recovery, I can tell these guys are pro, and again I have no idea of their prep time before these two shows and learning two albums worth of any bands can't be the easiest thing a human can do, unless they already listened to them when they were younger, which wouldn't change for my two thumbs up score, because again they did pretty awesome. It just woulda been a plus, I think, for any of the ones from the band of the era these albums were released and songs were played live to promote it. But with the guys Buddy got to back him instrumentally definitely don't bring it down and back him up as good as I would hope one of the guys from the band's past would. Hell, maybe they'd fuck it up worse. Who knows? No shade on past members, but if they're not playing anymore, it'd be possible for them to fuck it up, even of they played these songs a billions of times back then, so I get that. Buddy always was kind of the face of the band anyway, but I liked others that were in the band too. When Dave was fired or quit, I thought that sucked, but when they picked up Heath from Midtown after they broke up, I was like "Cool. Let's see if he can play more than pop punk." and I liked what he added to the band and he overshot the expectations when this album came out. Midtown was ok, but weren't one of my favorites from Drive Thru records.

I'm noticing in Lungs like Gallows he's having the crowd sing the high tone parts. That sucks that buddy isn't doing yhose parts anymore.

Saw them in New York City when they did this tour. It was amazing, and the amount of people who showed up and sang all the lyrics will show Buddy how much this album is beloved. I also got a sick t-shirt there too lol.

The comments tell a story of our youth. We grew up pissed off at the world and no one understood us. We were alone. Mad at our parents who were idiots. We wanted to stay up all night and sleep all morning until it was time to do it again. It's funny how after I haven't been teenager for almost 20 years and I've grown so much. 1. Only when you open up and be vulnerable will you expose yourself to others that validate that, no, you're not alone and you can be understood. It takes balls though. 2. Our parents did what they thought was best given the circumstances. ...and I have to remember, they too were angsty teenagers who also thought their parent's had no idea what they were talking about. Our parents are so wise. Just as I am becoming. 3. The morning gives me silence and peace just as the night does. I equally enjoy them both. To me they represent total opposites. How exciting?! Buddy being so open about his depression has given courage to others to open themselves too. Senses Fail brought my sister and I together. I remember Warped Tour 2005 or 06'. Senses Fail started to play 187. 187 was my sister and I jamming out song. My sister and I fought a lot. She'd steal my CDs and I'd beat her up. But....there were some things that did bring us close. The emo music of the early 2000's. Standing in the crowd while Senses Fail played, my social anxiety vanished. We took each other's hand look at one another with a look that didn't even require additional communication and head banged, screamed, sang along with our favorite band. I hope future generations come across Senses Fail and make memories similar to the emo kids of the 2000's. Signing off and going back to being a mom.... I love you all and peace be with you. p.s.
