Bags on the handlebar or top tube is a game changer for me. Just pick a waterproof one. If you get caught under heavy rain, you can keep your phone inside. Also helpful for keeping gloves, money, food, etc.
Indeed!
Great video keep the good work
I'm glad you liked it! Any products you would recommend?
Awesome
Thank you! Do you have any underrated products to share?
Not bikepacking or even glamping , credit card touring which is ok, but non informative for bikepacking
Some narly stretches, glad u and ur friend are safe! Tail winds!
Yes! Ben has been amazing on the trip. Learned that downhills are steep and might get potholes
Awesome ride and vlog! 🙌🏻 Ride safe always. 🙏🏻 New subscriber here and will support your channel. 😁
Thank you!
@ You’re welcome. 😁👍🏻
Now you will forever remember Batam hills
Awesome, looks like some sweet riding. Be safe.
Bro!! Make the trip down and do it man!
Great tips.
Thank you!
Sweet bike pump, Lezyne is a great company. Good luck on your bike tour. Love that cat. Just subbed.
Thank you!
maybe link to the product and where to get them would be good.
Which product would you be interested in?
Saw u riding at amk ave.1 opposite Bishan park today around 12pm bro..
Oh cool! Was it with a friend? We did 100km that day.
No la. u were alone bro. Maybe commuting to work?
@rohaimiehashim4402 oh!! Then yes definitely going to work!
I see the benefit of helping line up the pedal/cleat.. does this interfere with walking..?
Nice bike! How’s the fork feeling like? Same here, I also have a feedbag to hold my phone, keys. It’s very convenient and easy. Good tips!
It is basically a no maintenance suspension fork that helps the wheel stick to the ground and provides SOME relief and dampening! Amazing fork and bike, but I really can't justify the price point
Sir why is a bike check video 90 percent of just your face talking about your bike and ~3s b-roll shots of part of your bike instead of actually showing your bike
Haha I know it's a bit boring, but I was trying to explain how I decided to get this bike!
pretty awesome, just make sure you lace up tight when riding :D
That's such a cool looking bike! Great job with a fashionable and functional whip! Hi from the USA! I'm a bike mechanic and I wish that more of my customers got up to fun builds like you!
Hello! Omg yes! Bikes should be fun! It really isn't all about racing right?
Hey man I like the videos thanks for spreading awareness
Hey man I like the videos ! Thanks for spreading awareness on people being on their phones!
oh sure! People don't realise that their actions actually affect other road users. Stay safe buddy!
Thank you love the rig!
Awesome job, excellent effort!!! 💪🚲 I understand how tired it is to cycle above 100km, I personally only managed to hit my personal best of 167.49km during my failed solo RTI attempt over a time frame of 7Hr, 5 Min, 40 Sec of moving time... Hope to see you hit 300km...💪💪💪
Heckyeah! Kudos for cycling above new personal best!
For large cargo like beer cartons or 24 pack drink cartons, I find using a Haul-it pannier from Arkel to be very good. Even if loaded on just one side, the bike rides stable without an obvious weight shift or twitch when riding, compared to having it loaded on a front wheel pannier/basket
@@phoneyaccount I agree that a rear pannier is always a more stable choice. I'm looking to get a Topeak one and use the Specialized Coolcave
Handle bars longer than 700mm cannot be ridden on any pavements at all. The LTA officers you routinely see stationed around will stop you and measure. Can only be used on roads and PCN, MTB trail. Not worth the hassle of getting the bike impounded, paying the fine, and then paying for storage at the pound. Fine is $150-$300. $150 if compounded, $300 if you decide to attend court instead. For a cargo carrying bike, to do grocery runs, it's quite a hassle to just stick to roads in our built up environment.
I’d love a nice cargo bike so I can ferry my two kids to and from daycare. It’s really rough to find one that checks the boxes!
Oh that is amazing! Perhaps a pannier rack with a child seat along with one on the top tube can work! The other way is a bike trailer which can carry pets too.
I haven’t even hit 100km lol… nothing to be disappointed about 👍🏼
Try it! Take comfort that in Singapore there's so many places to stop for food and toilet. Can carry less on yourself
how did you keep your front light last so long throughout the ride?
It kinda died sometime around 6am. Putting it on blinking mode can extend the battery life.
This video seems awfully familiar.... Almost like i seen someone say the same thing nearly word for word in another video.... Wait i did.
Oh then you already know! Time to cycle together!
That Decathlon feed bag is the GOAT. I also have their Ergon grips dupes on my commuter and they're pretty good. And they have these dirt cheap hand pumps and multi tools (even cheaper if you get them from JB). I have them on all my bikes.
Oh great to know! I'm very lucky to have been using a gifted Crankbrothers multi-tool.
Doesn’t the rc520 have trp hy/rd cable actuated hydraulic brakes?
@dldldldldldl oh that must have been the updated one! I should have mentioned I was used the 2020 model
wow good job! be safe on riding your bicycle.
Always!
It's alright if you didn't finish 300. That's a big achievement if you reached beyond 160 kilometers. This ride of yours is a good experience . I'm sure you can finish 300km for your next ride with training and riding more. Good luck. Just a passerby from PH.
Thank you for the encouragement! We'll try again soon!
U stay at amk block 604/605 there ah?
aha yes. Jio for a ride pls
Saw you before there. I usually go to 603 for coffeeshop during lunch. U send to Jazzbikeshop for servicing?@@pedalpotato
@ Ahh! I used to send to Jazzbikeshop for servicing like 1 time but since I work near Tay Junction at Vertex, I've been going there more often.
nice video! will definitely try this one day 🔥🔥
Yo let us know if you ever do!
hi just curius how does the route look like??? is it just 2 rti around sg?

Hello from NY. I recently came across the first a mechanic in my area in which I feel is the right one for me. I do feel more confident about my bike maintenance
That sounds great! Many mechanics are friendly and would answer any questions happily

Mary’s bike is so funky! 😂

Sweet bike
Awesome bike 😎
I have no idea why YT recommended this video to me... but I enjoyed it. Unironic "Cool story bro." moment.
sickkk bike!
Nice suggestion on having a mouth mount camera. Have you considered stripping it on your waist? Could be a nice alternative especially if you switch to 720 degree lens.
AHH perhaps I can try this some time
Cool thoughts! How is the commune situation and condition for bike riders in Singapore?
We have really well planned out Park Connector Network or PCN that links many parts of Singapore. These are kinda like dedicated pathways for cyclists and they lead into parks too
@@pedalpotatoThat sounds awesome!
