One thing to add is to close your "driver side" door before beginning the reset. It stopped the clock menu from coming up
Thank you a million times 😅. If you had any idea how much I have tried to reset the oil check. Must have watched 20 different videos and my menu never appeared. And all the time the door was not fully closed 😅. You are the first one that actually helped me 🙏🏻

@@bishrbakrofulmight need to make sure your gearbox is in neutral and handbrake off and brakes off

Either way, it doesn’t matter which order you do it. It’s essentially another trip meter.

2020 X5. i kept holding the bc button until the question mark shows. hold it again eventually it will reset. thanks!

@@moneybands2094 sold the car but never found the way to do it
You have to do it as soon as the car turns on to the accessory position. Hold down the button till an image pops up then cycle through the images till you find the oil change icon. Hold it. It will ask to reset. Hold again to reset.
I've tried this several times and it brings me to a Diagnostic Mode. But does not get me to the oil change prompt as you have shown. I have a 2019 X5.
