Wilmington Charter Hosts South Lebanon at The Murphy Theatre on September 4, 2024
A grassroots group of community members met at The Murphy Theatre on September 4, 2024 at 7pm for a public meeting to discuss what it might look like for Wilmington become a Charter City like other cities our size. South Lebanon Mayor attended to talk about the benefits of their city’s charter and answer any questions.
South Lebanon recently became a Charter City after the census of 2020. The meeting was to learn more about how South Lebanon became a Charter City, the costs involved, and the challenges they overcame.

This is the guy that arrested 2 men during a public comment period during a council meeting. He said he would arrest them every time. Chief Ron Fithen has such a poor grasp of simple constitutional issues that I don't have any faith he can understand simple laws. He is a true example of unamerican sentiment in today's police force. The city ended up paying out 300k on this case.

Chief Fithen would have fit in well with the Gestapo. He follows orders from corrupt officials, not the law. He’s aided in keeping the blanket on the murder of Casey Pitzer and Andy Napier. He should resign immediately and hopefully he gets a prison sentence like he deserves. He’s a deceitful liar who’s loyalty stands with the corrupt, not the citizens he swore to protect.
