Is Bible Gateway Plus still worth it? (REVIEW UPDATE)
In my 2021 review, I praised Bible Gateway Plus, but how does it hold up? Is it still worth it? In this video, I answer that question and share some additional thoughts on how Bible Gateway Plus has changed and who it's right for.
*UPDATE: It looks like the sale has just ended and the price has bumped up to $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. This is still a good value if it's a good fit for your Bible study needs.

    The Trinity Doctrine is not a Chrisitan doctrine! It was invented by the Catholic Church! If you don't believe me, look it up! The early church, after Jesus died on the cross, never baptized anyone in any other name but in the precious name of Jesus Christ! To answer the question of Genesis 1:26 How many creators do we have? We only have ONE creator! (Genesis 1:26-27) "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Do the angels God created have the power to create? No! Did God need the help of Jesus or the Holy Ghost? No! God is all powerful! So, no! God needed no help from ANYONE! (Isaiah 44:24) "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" (Malachi 2:10) "Have we not all one father? hath not ONE GOD created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?" {27} So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27) "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Who was God talking to? He was counseling within Himself! (Ephesians 1:11) "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:" God had a purpose! His purpose was to make man! How did he fulfil that purpose? He was counseling with HIMSELF! There was no one with Him! Jesus wasn’t there, and the Holy Ghost wasn’t there! He was BY HIMSELF, ALONE! If you don’t believe me, read Isaiah 44:24 again until you get it! Who was God talking to? HIMSELF! Some Bible readers will point to Genesis 1:26 as evidence that God is more than one person. Who is the "us" and "our" in verse 26 referring to? Is it an early reference to multi-personality within God? This video argues there are better ways to understand who the "us" is in this passage. The fact that it is a common biblical theme for God to be surrounded by a group of angels, and the grammar of the verse, has actually led many trinitarians (and apparently most trinitarian scholars) to abandon Genesis 1:26 as a proof text. If trinitarian apologists want us to take this example of plural pronouns in Genesis 1:26 seriously enough to conclude that they are showing that God is more than one person, then why shouldn’t we also take examples of singular pronouns seriously, and think they are indicating God is only one person? Friends, if we read the very next verse, Gen 1:27, it says “So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” We are created in “his image”, and the verse uses the singular pronoun “him/his” 3 times. There may be some room to wonder who the “us” of verse 26 is, but there should be no doubt that the “HE” in verse 27, a singular personal pronoun, is referring to the one God. In fact, try this, turn to any page of your bible where God speaks, acts, or is mentioned, and count the times God is referred to as “he”, or refers to himself as “I”. You will find tens of thousands of cases where the God of the Bible is described and self-described as a single person. Seriously, as soon as this video ends, go and count. Come comment on the video with how many singular personal pronouns referring to God you find! (And for you Hebrew linguists, how many singular verbs, adjectives, and pronominal suffixes?) Evidence like this is why growing numbers of Christians are abandoning the Trinity doctrine, as a post-apostolic error, in favor of a biblically consistent description of God as one person. We call ourselves unitarian Christians, and we worship the God who says “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.”(Jeremiah 32:27), we worship the God who Jesus called “my Father and your Father… my God and your God.” For more information, check out our website, unitarianchristianalliance.com, listen to the Unitarian Christian Alliance Podcast hosted by Mark Cain, or browse other videos on our youtube channel. Join us, bring your bibles, and leave behind the confusion!

    Why don't you talk about the "Elohist" view? Does that have to do with the singular and plural forms of the word Elohim maybe? What i've discovered is that the word Elohim refers to God as well as to ALL beings in the Spiritual realm(all who were created by the most high God) and that even though big G God allowed the little g gods to have a limited input in God's creation plan - it is God, Yahweh, the 'most high Elohim' who did the actual speaking creation into existence. God had a spiritual family and in creation, creates Himself a human family. Is that the 'Elohist view" Is that about how you understand things? Thanks

    Are the cross ref in ESV crossway reference, and NKJV Thomas nelson ref bibles same? are they excess sometimes as the crossway Ref bible says 80K cross references? Do you think ESV references are biased in favour of reformed theology, faith alone? should we be concerned? Thanks

    • @pastor-josh

      They are different but I'm sure there will be a good bit of overlap. My experience is that I've never found myself thinking there were too many cross-references. The beauty of cross-reference is they just send you to other Bible passages, and you can read those passages in context, eliminating most concern for bias creeping in.

    Thanks for this. I don't see two different creation stories at all. To me, Genesis chapter 1 is simplyba telling of all that God created, includinf man and woman. Chapter 2 simply gives the detail or "the how". It even makes sense today, as we check a person's blood to see what the magnesium, potassium, sodium, carbon, oxygen, etc.,the vey things are in the dirt. We have three distinct parts that God created, spirit with which we communicate with our Father when our spirit is renewed with His Spirit; soul which allows us to think and discern scripture and think or express emotions, and we have a physical body as described, that was formed by dirt and the breath of God's life breathed into them.

    • @janicemiller2387
      @janicemiller2387 7 місяців тому

      So, as I started out saying, Chapter 1 is simply stating all that was created, then Chapter 2 goes into the "how", the detail of what was said that God created, as stated in Chapter 1.

    *The separation of the ''tares'' from the ''WHEAT'' for the Harvest is happening right now!!!* *WHEAT obey God's commandment to ''prove all things'' even if they have preconceived ideas about what they hear. This is how the Holy Spirit leads them into all truth. Then they immediately begin helping to spread the news.* *Tares on the other hand, always argue or simply ignore anything that they ''think'' is wrong. That's why they will ''perish for a lack of knowledge.''* *God promised to send a ''famine of hearing His word'' in the last days, and if you don't see that's where we're at now, you're blind and lost.* *Now here's the info that is perfectly and distinctly revealing whether you are WHEAT or a tare because it's by far the most important thing that has happened since the Day of Pentecost! And if you don't investigate it...* *The AC has not only tricked billions into receiving his mark, he has fulfilled many other end time prophecies which everyone previously misinterpreted. The key one is Amos **8:11**. That's where it tells us about the famine. Everybody used to think it meant our bibles would be taken from us some day, right? NOPE! That prophecy has already been perfectly fulfilled right under everyone's noses!!!* *On the off chance any WHEAT see this (They make up less than 1% of all who THINK they're saved) first read Amos **8:11**, then type in (proof of bible change residue junkie) AND HOLD ON TO YOUR SEAT!!! Then to see proof about the MOTB ask for it at my g mail which is residue junkie in one word.* *After some of the shock has worn off and you have seen all of these films (I didn't make them) your faith will be 1,000% stronger and you will have grown MUCH closer to the never changing Word of God Jesus Christ ... **_GUARANTEED!!!!!!!_* *Jesus will explain it to the tares and everyone else at the Gate before sending them all on their way.* ❤✝️💪🏻 *P.S. After people have taken all of the required 💉's, they will apply a quantum dot invisible tattoo to their head or hand, but anyone who has had just one has a bluetooth mac # that can be read by any smart phone and when you walk through the deal at an airport they know if you have it. The no buying or selling is happening incrementally and will be complete when cash is abolished and worship can be defined as "to fear, obey and trust in someone or something" which is what they are doing with the Beast System and the Image of the Beast, (NWO and TV!). They also now have triple helix DNA, are no longer human and if they have children they won't be human either! Yes, this absolutely is it, and👉 if you write me at the address on my about 👈page I'll send you 15 **_shocking_** films that will PROVE it to anyone who has the courage to watch them.*

      No sir, blaspheming is creating your own meaning. Yes, the Holy Spirit guides us, but he will never guide us outside the Hebrew and Greek of the Word of God, because that is how it was first written. We have to be careful in setting new definitions. I mean, if you are simply clarifying a word, or amplifying it, that is one thing, but changing it altogether, or removing something, is another. Let me know if I have misunderstood you.

    • @pastor-josh
      @pastor-josh Рік тому

      Greek to English is generally a lot more useful in my opinion since it preserves the sentence structure and clearly shows you what words are being used in the original. Reverse is much easier to read but you lose all the grammar. Something like this would probably be good for what you are looking for: www.christianbook.com/the-interlinear-greek-english-new-testament/9781565639799/pd/639790?event=ESRCG#CBD-PD-Description. Not sure about online for KJV specific (interlinear using Textus Receptus manuscript). I use biblehub.com/interlinear/ for free which I think will still work pretty well this.
