    I've had these wheels since the price was $600 or so. They haven't changed, as far as I can tell. I love them. I also love the sealed internal rim bed, which means I don't need rim tape of any kind. One less thing to fail in a tubeless setup. I agree that they are fantastic bang for the buck. Also... they look great. I've recently updated the rear wheel to hold the new SRAM 12 speed cassettes. winspace got me the new part quickly and it worked well.

      From seal beach? You could take the beach path if you want to avoid cars otherwise there is a bike lane along 2nd street. Unfortunately you won’t be able to completely avoid cars. Good luck!

    With deep section wheels it's a trade off between better aerodynamics once up to speed and the added inertia starting off due to the extra mass on the rims. Unfortunately we cannot have it all

    Can’t get a reply from Zwift. Can anyone on here help? I have a Connection issue Apple tv and Zwift Companion. I bought Zwift Play so need to add more BT devices. I tried connecting through Companion app. However, after several attempts I have been left very frustrated. As soon as I select the ‘Connect with Companion app’ option on the games connection menu my Zwift Companion app brings up a map, as if it thinks I am riding in a World. This is accompanied by a complete inability to add devices as it does not pick anything up. It says, ‘Try waking your devices’. However, I know they are awake as when I go back and select ‘Connect via BT’ it picks the Kickr up straight away. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what is the solution please? Otherwise, Zwift Play has to go back 😞 Thanks in anticipation.

      @@harrbear86I've got the same problem and did not know how to explain it. The Kickr starts "walking" forward. There are 2 solutions to it which I tried. First I put an Elite (brand name) front wheel support under my front wheel. This kept my bike in place but elevates the bike position. Second solution is to put a metal rod or similar between the outer legs and the center leg to keep the outer legs in their extreme position to prevent the movement. Hope this helps.

    Great video! I would be interested to know if you still like your Luns a year down the road. There are some great deals from Winspace at the moment. My main concern is the clearance between the rim (28 mm wide) and the Ultegra/ Dura -Ace mechanical calipers (normally 28 mm max clearance). Is it very tight, do you experience Rim rub out of the saddle? Thanks

    • @reactionsok
      @reactionsok Рік тому

      Hi there! I still ride with the Luns when i use my other bike and they're holding well. Clearance on the rear Ultegra Caliper is very tight. I run Conti SP5000s 25MM tires and it will rub if you have the caliper open too wide. Debris will occasionally get trapped. Still would recommend.

    The max ascent is 20% and max descent is -10%, but I’ve never experienced the Climb hit the max or minimum height when it’s being controlled by Zwift. I have to use the control manually to reach the max and min heights. Has that been the same with you?

    Thanks for making this review. I have mine since Feb 2020 and riden about 14000km. I am glad I made the financial effort to buy. No regret. However, I would say to new starter, if they are not sure and considering the cost, to start without and add it later. I share most of your pros and cons. However, regarding the stability I think this is due to how you position it at rest. The unit has to pivot somewhere so if at 0° it is not in the ideal position on the floor, yes you may end up with it on the tip of the "toes" as you showed us. This said, it is part of the fun and as on a bike with wheels you still have to be careful :) Regarding the manual option. It is not that often I finish a ride which finishes with 20° incline. So it does not bother me and when I start a new ride it automatically adjust at the start. However, at the beginning I did forget every now and then to switch it to auto and then thought the climb did not work anymore until I realised. Now it is just an habit. This said, instead of removing the manual option, I would not have it as the default setting (or let the user decide what the default setting is). as Andy King said. I also use the manual option for different type of workouts. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your experience and making a video (of good quality video and audio, and the effort made to look at the camera). Well done. Looking forward to more of your videos.

    Good round-up. I love mine too. I think it's a valuable addition to the virtual cycling 'experience.' From a training perspective, it's even more useful as it allows for muscular development under conditions of climbing and descending - strength endurance hill climb intervals can be done with the rider positioned (relative to the bars, seat and BB) exactly as they would be on a climb/descent. Given that, I'd have to disagree with you on removing the 'manual' option - I use it regularly during workouts. Cheers from Down Under :)

    You can calm down the freehub noise considerably by sliding the freehub body off (don't even have to remove the cassette, you should be able to pop them off), and adding a little extra lightweight grease. Dumonde Tech freehub grease is great and has applications beyond just freehubs. I have a set of Winspace Hyper wheels on another bike, and out of the box the freehub was obnoxiously loud. Added a few grams of grease and they quieted down considerably. The freehub was also pretty dry from the factory, so I'm glad I added it.

    • @reactionsok
      @reactionsok 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the tip! The loud hub noise did come handy today on a busy trail that kept walkers alert lol

    • @ktakashismith
      @ktakashismith 2 роки тому

      @@reactionsok not gonna lie, noisy freehubs can work better than bells. Hikers are good at tuning out "ding ding", but hearing what sounds like an angry swarm of murder hornets approaching in the distance definitely elicits a reaction. The freehub grease doesn't hit the mute button entirely, more like it takes the freehub noise down from a 9/10 to a 6.5/10.

For me, the braking is quite dependable and I do like to hear the brake sensations in action for the Rim Brakes. I really like the HUBS and they seem to be rock solid for durability. I have over 2500 miles on my LUN Wheels in particular and they still look and feel brand new. They always amaze me on every ride that they hold up so solid and true.

    So from my take on this video is….if you have the means to buy a super bike go ahead and get it. For others that are just casual riders and either don’t have the money or can’t justify the cost, a budget/middle tier is good enough. Peer pressure gets the best of us if you ride with people. Solo riders should just enjoy their rides.

    Just took my first ride with the axis feet. I would say if you do a lot of indoor training then they’re absolutely worth it. I’m 175lbs so I stuck with medium & that was good enough for me. The small side to side movement feels so much more natural & is a helpful to drag out a few more watts without feeling like you’re going to damage your bike.

    While I love the story you tell, AIDS/LifeCycle has very strict safety standards. Adherence to these is not maintained in this presentation.

      Appreciate the feedback Robert. I would suggest you go Princessing. Once you go princessing you never go back.
