You pour it on. The more the better, Butter Milk and yogurt have an acid base that seems to encourage growth in the moss.

It basically is a vacuum for leaves and twigs. Best to do a Google search. It is a pretty cool machine.

@@ibuyerpro Yes it would help a landlord get more money. One of the things I look at online viewing homes for sale is the kitchen appliances. Stainless steal appliances are being placed into new homes/apartments being built. Some homeowners are updating their appliances with stainless steel. I am a Durham native and I graduated from Durham High School in 1973. I have lived in New York City since 73. After my mother's death in 2013, I sold her house in North Durham near Alston Avenue in 2016 after it was broken into. A police official suggested that I not sale the brick home because the neighborhood was changing. I wished I had listened to him because Durham has been gentrified and it's expensive there with the new housing being built. If I had kept my mother's house in Durham and since retiring in 2022, I would have updated the kitchen appliances to stainless steal and moved back home to the Bull City. 😎

Correct, and to keep animals from licking it off the moss.

Let me know how it comesd out. I have also been putting more yogurt on the hard to grow spots that have more sun.

I like to wait until the milk is sour and has some chunks in it. I put in on dry moss and pour it on not using a sprayer because the chunks will not work with a sprayer. Then after I pour the chunky milk on the dry moss I put a cardboard box over it. The main reason for the cardboard box (open and flat) over the area where I poured the chunky milk is it sometimes helps with animals from diging there or trying to eat or drink the milk. It also keeps it dry from any rain to give the dirt time to soak it in.

I actually try and manually pull the weeds from the moss. It takes some time but once you removed them the moss grows better and helps prevent more weeds from coming up. I also urge you not to use weed killer as this will hurt the moss very badly.

I have no idea on the species. I can tell you that once a year I get small red sprouts budding up from the moss. I am here in Durham NC,

I did the first video also that shows how to grow the moss. Believe it or not buttermilk, yogurt, and expired milk has an acid base to it that moss love.

Nothing much you can do once they are gone. That is why you check as not to incure a huge plumbing bill.

You can, very, very lightly to start, I use a low wattage leaf blower after the very light raking of leaves trying not to touch the moss under. That is why I then use the billy goat machine to get the rest of the leaves and twigs.

Almost twice a week. It was a lot, And I did it before any rain came. You need to keep the moss free from leaves and twigs so it will grow.

The first video has this in it. I will be doing a series of these and will list some steps to grow a moss lawn. Milk, yogurt, butter milk is your best friend when growing moss.

You also need to water at night and get it soaking wet on some of the green spots so it will spread.

If you see my first video it shows how to prepare the lawn for moss growth. Milk, yogurt, and butter milk are great for pouring on the lawn then let it sit and water a lot.

I am planning on two more. Just waiting on the moss to fill in more.
