Is it safe for clear parts too?

Can you poor some thinner directly in the bottle to make things easier when painting by hand? Like a few drops of paint thinner?

Hi! I'm an artist but have never used Testor's before. I'm confused about the brush cleaning process. The Testor's thinner is such a small bottle...do I swizzle my dirty brush in the whole bottle? (This is how I'm used to rinsing my brushes using watercolor and acrylic, by swizzling them in a jar of water.) Do I dab some of the paint thinner on a rag then rub my brush clean? It feels strange to just have one small bottle of testors thinner & dirty the whole bottle in one sitting. And swizzling the he brush into the mouth of a metal can of paint thinner doesn't seem very friendly either. (Also I know the testors cleaner is just paint thinner, but I don't necessarily want to have a big bottle of that stuff in my studio for the dogs to get into or for me to spill accidentally or when transferring it to a smaller container.) Thanks in advance for any help anyone can suggest!

Hi thanks for uploading video. Have You raised suspension as well? Looking to raise the 1/24 '39 Chevy Panel Sedan to Pickup height (for conversion, omitting covered panel area in build) It's for baby Superman diroama from 1978 movie scene where he raises p/u to help dad with tire change. Which 1/24 pickup suspension would You recommend or is diy better? Any tips wud be appreciated. Thanks

Video is ok; video contents is good but the sound need to be fixed, it is a very low tone, and for folks with some difficult to ear it just does not sound good, almost not understandable

I know this video is old but YES! This works! I thought I’d destroyed a $100.00 model with a terrible enamel paint job, but I just got it all off. FWIW, I did it in just a few hours. Maybe the enamel comes off easier. I used a bunch of paper towels and wiped most of the old paint off.

This is an awesome piece of work. I cannot even try to do something similar, since I do not dare to paint models at this scale, but I will see if I can add the pastel treatment on mine 😊

Unfortunately, the placement of the turboprop nacelles are in line with the old piston engine CL-215 model. The 415 nacelles should be located more inboard. I have seen this corrected and the kit can be built up nicely. There are other faults with the kit but the nacelles Placement is the worst of the lot.

Can i use paint brush for tamiyah?

I'm still learning about painting with tamiya paints and this is the video I was looking for. When I opened the paints, they had a strong smell for the chemicals, so I am thinking on buying a filter mask, because I work on a small space and doesn't have proper ventilation and keeping them on a wooden box (because it's fresh) to prevent the chemicals activate with the heat

Good real advice brother. Wish I'd seen this video before I started experimenting with acrylics, Tamiya in particular, after a 55 year hiatus in model building. Those are most the principles I have discovered by trial and error. Good vid.

You can use an alcohol calculator so you can add water to know 99% and bring it down to 70%. IPA quite expensive here in Australia could I use methylated spirits aka denatured alcohol? I heard you can make flow improve over from dishwashing rinse aid. 3mls to 1 litre of water. Cheers Graham

I just tried tamiya lacquer..and in preparing to use it I think I was confusing it with this acrylic hybrid or whatever this is lol.

I'm going to use testers silver bottle paint to refresh my front hood letters of my Land Rover. I just subscribed and I watced this video. Will itself level straight out of the bottle? Should I use a small bristle.brush like the one in this video? I know the importance of don't over brush and keep moving. (I have a bottle of Testers thinner too) Thank you .

I've used Future for sevral years, applied with a brush, and had very good results. I was lucky, when I bought it, it was under 10.00.
