Nos anos 70 e 80 participei ativamente do Movimento Black em São Paulo, freqüentei os bailes da época, produzidos pelos "Discotecários" (naquela época era assim que chamavam os atuais DJ's), Amaury, Eduardo, Os Carlos entre outros.
Tive o privilégio de vivenciar as mudanças culturais trazidas com o Movimento Funk no final dos anos 70, e curtir os grandes bailes das equipes: Chic Show, Black Mad, Zimbábue e Furacão 2000 do Rio, que naquela época tocava o Funk Original e fazia muito sucesso quando vinha para São Paulo.
Graças a Chic Show curti "ao vivo" quase todos os grandes shows no Palmeiras, só quem esteve lá sabe o quanto especial foi esta época.
Nos anos 80 e 90 acompanhei todas as transformações ocorridas no cenário musical e passei a curtir o som mais pesado do RAP, me identifiquei com o som quando reparei que as produções dos DJ's, traziam elementos daquelas musicas que curti no inicio de tudo.

I gotta say how much I can relate to what he's saying. It was my life many years ago when I was out in dem streets. I was "girlfriend" then we decided to get married. Yeah, he left me at home for weeks on end. Then of course the women came into play. We were truly more happy when we were struggling and on the poor side. It was him and me against the world. It only took a year for me to pack my sh*t and leave one day while he was not home. Today we are good friends but he also has said how he has to live with how he treated me and it really bothers him, I was that "good" girl, faithful to a fault. He would like more today but when i left him 27 yrs ago, I married a whole "different" type a dude. Have 2 sons also. I ride or die for my family now. Could never go back to what use to be.
