Jujutsu Kaisen Analysis / Theory: How the Past Curses Us | YezaTalks
Jujutsu Kaisen is a shounen battle anime with a ton of themes. One that particularly sticks out to me is the theme of the past, and people in the past, being a controlling factor in how you live your life. In Jujutsu Kaisen, these influences are displayed in nearly the same way as curses are. Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, Maki Zenin, and Aoi Todo are only some of the characters that have their personalities, powers, and character arcs significantly influenced by the action of a generation and a system that was there long before they were. Howeverm the question of WHO can beat gojo still remains unanswered.

SHOULD YOU WATCH JUJUTSU KAISEN

So I babysit sometimes, and a kid I take care of, about 8 years old, regularly gets upset about climate change. not primarily about the fact that our earth is literally and figuratively on fire, but mostly about the fact that it feels like he has to deal with a problem that he is in NO wa responsible for. He doesn’t realize this yet, but this feeling is most likely going to accompany him for the rest of his life. Tradition, Death, Hatred, Debt, Climate Change, Expectations, Laws, Financial Crises, Society. Every single one of us knows the feelings of being influenced and perhaps mistreated by the ideals, actions, and expectations of those that inhabited and led this world before us. What does this have to do with Anime, you ask? Well, I believe that this idea of a hierarchical, stagnant, and old society that tries to control everyone within it, that is completely willing to sacrifice the new generation to protect itself, is one of the core themes of Jujutsu Kaisen. That’s right, I’m talking about Jujutsu Kaisen again, and nobody can stop me.

What To Watch: The NEW Generation of Anime | YezaTalks
Переглядів 843 роки тому
When I ask myself "What should I watch?", I tend to have a very hard time coming up with anything. Lately though, I started taking a look at all the "new" anime, the best anime of this next generation. I've always been a Naruto fanboy, so it was very interesting to see all the new anime that were released since then. My Hero Academia, Dr. Stone, Boruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more have frankly blo...

How to write an Overpowered Character feat. Satoru Gojo, All Might | YezaTalks
Переглядів 12 тис.3 роки тому
So I, and seemingly everybody else in the world of anime, have recently watched season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen (Or Sorcery Fight, if you're nasty). I have a whole lot to say about this show; how everybody in it is written like an overpowered main character, how absolutely amazing the animation looks starting from episode 1, and how I genuinely believe that Jujutsu Kaisen might just become the next ...
Just Why is Dungeons and Dragons so Popular? | YezaTalks

Dungeons and Dragons has been around, and has been incredibly popular, for more than 45 years. Just why the heck did it ever become popular, and why is DnD still so insanely wide-spread when videogames like Skyrim and the Witcher exist? One Punch Man: Saitama, the Hero of our Age | YezaTalks

With OPM Season 2 having released somewhat recently, and with everybody waiting for One Punch Man Season 3, i figured i would make a video with my thoughts on why Saitama, Genos, and all the other Heroes are so sucessful. (Hint: it's kinda for the same reasons that all other heroes like Achilles, Spider-man, all the other Marvel Heroes, Superman.) The Monster Association Arc is just about done ...
this is a gem
Great analysis
you completely exaggerated naruto's powerlevel. he's not even the strongest good guy in the show and he NEVER killed a God
Ah, GoJo, the character I was looking for in this video
Boruto's dad never killed a god 😂
Ik this is off topic but… I kinda get irritated when you say “Boruto’s dad” instead of Naruto because there is literally a popular show about him 😅
It’s a joke about how in the show everyone calls Naruto borutos dad
What about yujiro
Man i love overpowered charecters, just seeing them wipe out a incredibly strong villain with one snap is nice
I have an OC that takes a similar approach to character writing as Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Both have an internal struggle on their morals to keep their story interesting and engaging. And I think that's a good lesson for OP characters too, because they could handle any external crisis no problem. But interal morals and humanity can help flesh them out as a character too.
(just.. maybe don't make the conclusion as terrible as Wonder Woman's ending, Ares was such a stupid villain)
You don't have to be worried man, Gojo won't be one of those op guys who always mysteriously disappear when a serious shit happens :)
bruh
....
😬
💀💀
I guess you were half wrong.
What about attack on titan?
Levi Ackerman from attack on titan would have also been a great example
that's a really good point. He is never depicted as quite as "overpwered" as Gojo, but he certainly dwarfs every other character and provides a clear example of what "peak performance" looks like in that universe
In Naruto we had Kakashi first as a goal for the characters. In Boruto, Naruto could have been the goal for the main characters. But I *know* it won't work now, since they nerfed him so much. The people who watched Naruto. That went on that 15+ Year long journey with him and watched him grow up. Will not and cannot accept Boruto as canon. The characters in Boruto could have probably never reached Naruto's power and it may be the same with Jujutsu Kaisen. But we are still able to have expectations of the fights and how the characters will grow. We can all agree it is best to stick to the *continuity* with the fights, the powers, the world and the characters. Not like in Boruto...(The Author blatantly ignoring everything pre-establish in Naruto. Kurama dies. Sasuke loses the Rinnegan. Naruto not using SO6P. And no it is not true SO6P.... etc.) Boruto's story is pointless since it takes place in a happily-ever-after world and A PROPHECY HAS BEEN FULFILLED. I don't hate it any more but I still really really really really dislike it. MHA is better because we know that Midoriya is going to surpass All Might in the end. (And not Bakugou.)
i agree to a certain extent, its really really hard to find boruto's setup believable simply because, as you said, he exists in a happily ever after world. Sometimes i wonder if it could have been different, though. There are some parts of Boruto that i enjoy, and i wonder if a larger focus on this "fixed" world, maybe telling smaller stories (similar to naruto up to the chunin exam) would have made a difference
@@yezatalks5799 I know. Boruto takes place in a happily ever after scenario...(Infinite Tsukuyomi) Anyway I think you are up to date with the MHA manga right? So for me the arc right now is practically pointless. Don't get me wrong it's nice to finally see some hero's from other country's but still. I miss Eren Yea- I mean Dark Deku. I wish Midoriya would have stayed a vigilante. His costume was so cool. Class 1-A thinks they can fight AFO and Shigaraki together when *they couldn't even harm Deku*. Either Horikoshi set himself up for Class 1-A's death or massive a**pulls. It was a huge missed opportunity to not introduce the characters of MHA vigilantes. It. Was. The. Perfect. Chance. But nooooo. We need to have Class 1-A fight the important battles right? It is nice that Bakugou finally apologized. It really is. But that was long over due. And in the end he didn't change yet again!
I love it!
thank you so much, i'm glad to hear it!
Good analysis, Meurem feels like one of those characters there's so much to learn from and in so many and sometimes seemingly contracting ways. I am no God, I am a human, I bleed, I do good, I do bad, I feel, I exist. Meurem reminds me that I can see myself and change. He was the ultimate life form yet he was wrong so often and I'm probably similar in my mistakes my I see them and remember my strength with his majesty to remind me
Something of note that I ended up cutting from the video: the theme of taking something old and rebuilding it into an improved thing is also present on a meta level, where jjk clearly and liberally takes from shounen that came before (cough cough naruto cough cough bleach) and utilizes each of these borrowed parts in a completely fresh context
it's sad to see these constraints on the characters, yet its such good story telling. gojos and todos quotes really only got me thinking after you explained them, damn. really enjoyable and eye opening video!!
thank you!!!!
I love your content and another well done op character are probably mob from mob psycho 100. Maybe you should review one of the unique character in my opinion which is reigen from mob psych 100. Keep up the good work!
hey! I'm glad to hear it, i've had mob psycho on my list for quite some time. Keep an eye out!
My only issue with MHA is that they like spent 2-4 min of flashbacks during every episode or so
yeah, that's a fair point. The anime relies pretty heavily on reminding the viewer of what happened? It feels at times like it assumes we are all compete idiots. I'd say it's because of it being released in seasons, so the creators are scared that people forget whats going on in between releases?
I also didn't get to it in the video, but sometimes it feels like MHA forgets that the original point was "everybody can become a hero"
@@yezatalks5799Tnx for responding, but other than that I think that the fights scenes are amazing
spitting straight facts 🔥
thank you:)))
Love seeing your face! Great video, really got me excited for anime ☺️
thank you so much!!
This is such a great video, I've never watched this anime nor do I watch anime a lot at all. But this video still really grabs my attention. Keep up what you did this time, I love it
Thank you so much, that means a lot!!!
Awesome video review! Keep up the great work!
Thanks dude, that's so nice!
spot on!
Oh thank you, mysterious stranger!
Great video! Really enjoyed it.
thank you!!
goated character
oh he really is. can't think of a better villain in any shounen.

I'm pretty stoked to check out Jujutsu Kaisen now, well played sir
great content !!
thank you🖤
Orcs, snacks and beer 🤌🏼
truly the finer things in fantasylife.
This is really well made content 👍
Thank you so much, i put a lot of work into it so i really appreciate comments like that!!
Honestly was a little critical of the take at first, but you argued it stringently and reasonably. Convinced me
I loved the show for the same reason! (+da music) Really well put ☺️ might have to check out the manga!
thank you! i really do recommend the manga. Apart from the iffy depiction of female characters, murata is probably the most talented manga artist out there right now, the artwork is genuinely incredible on some pages:)
I relate to Saitama so hard for the exact reasons you addressed in this video. Thank you.
i'm really glad to hear other people feel this way too!
