Jenkinson Lake/Sly Park Early Fall Bass Fishing
In this episode, I take the kayak up to Sly Park Lake to do some bass fishing. Jenkinson Lake or Sly Park is a fishery with largemouth, spotted bass, and smallmouth. I have a lot of history on this lake but got humbled in this video. I throw the kitchen sink at these fish and grinded out the day. Hope you enjoy the video and if you have any thoughts on my fishing please comment below! Thanks for watching.

HIGH ELEVATION BASS-SCOTT'S FLAT RESERVOIR
Переглядів 2593 місяці тому
In this weeks video I visit Scott's Flat Reservoir in Nevada County. SF is apart of NID and about 80% of full pool at the time I recorded this video. I fished this lake almost 10 years ago and knew it was set up similar to Jenkinson Lake and would be a good place to escape the valley "warmth". Hope you enjoy the vid and please like and subscribe. All the support is much appreciated. Enjoy!

Here's the second day of fishing out on Sly park on my Native Watercraft Titan X. We only went out for a few hours this time instead of a full day and it was definitely a fun trip. Enjoy the topwater and deep jig bite!
DAY 1-JENKINSON LAKE/SLY PARK FISHING
Переглядів 6724 місяці тому
Visited some old stomping grounds and fished Jenkinson Lake aka Sly Park for a few days. This video is day 1 on the Native Watercraft Titan X. I caught a bunch of fish (not all keepers) and had a lot of fun back at a lake I've been trying to get back to for a while. I apologize in advance for my life jacket getting in the way but enjoy the fish catches!

Good video ‼️❤️
Thank you sir
Appreciate the shoutout that was pure,I’ve been there one time no catches just some hits but I’ll be ready for that clear water next pop out
If you were gonna go back there I would wait until April/May. the bite can get crazy.
Yes this is mather lake😅
Good spot but a lot of pressure
Ton of pressure, I went out on Monday and there were still 6 other kayaks out there.
Congrats fellas! Way to represent the Wranglers!
Thanks Randone!
Way to go James!
Thanks Nutt! the wins are hard to come by so this one was pretty special
Good video , im sure i seen you early morning when you was out there
Probably!
Did I dap you up when I was launching my kayak?
@@Jellifishing Yes , you seemed like a good dude , real disciplined. I strive to be the same way. It was also interesting seeing you fish so I’m actually glade I ran across yours videos. I could tell you had experience by how you approached the lake. Maybe I’ll see you out there again one day , good videos . Looking forward to more ‼️
Way to go! Well done to you you and Wendell
Thanks Tom!
Solid! Congrats!
Thank you!
is this at mather?
Yes
Good job out there. Dang one big fish away from a really good bag. Best of luck day 2!
Thank you! We worked hard for the five we got. Day 2 got better!
What lake is this
^
That’s good weight. That was the first lake I took my kayak too. So grassy it was hard to fish.
Is Lake "M" really Lake Natoma?
@@davelerner8461 mather lake
Thanks Kris
Affirm
@tonyher458 didn't realize you can launch a kayak there
right in middle of dock and bank i was on a pond prowler, i lowered a mushroom anchor on a 100ft rope, it seemed it would never touch the bottom , i used half the rope approximately 50 Ft of rope . that place is unbelievably DEEP ITS SCARY!!!! when you hear the name deep water channel you don't picture or think exactly how deep that body of water really is . i only lowered it there in that sport i dont know if its deeper in other spots.
I'll be back out there soon and will have to report back!
Nice, always heard there was smallies in sly but 3 species now wow...
I'm heading up in 3 weeks for fishing. What areas do you recommend to cover in the lake?
@@fafishing3280 I would start by the boat launch and fish the north bank all the way back into the narrows on the rocky side.
West Sacramento? Also get some needle nose pliers man.. much easier hook removal
Is there a spot to bank fish there overnight if so what exit would I take. I’m looking for catfish
@@ogdadbod3038 The only access I know of is the barge canal access. There are definitely spots to bank fish but you’ll be walking a while. Google maps is your best friend.
be careful going there at night , my coworker's uncle works for the DFG. my coworkers uncle told him not to go at night because they had an incident of some anglers fishing there at night , unfortunately they were robbed at gun point. this was back in 2008-2009. and there's also homeless people that live on those trails.
Finding Nemo 8:47
good try but not what I was referencing!
1:35 this is how people hook themselves, i would of used a pliers, unless you can grip the mouth aint gona mess with them hooks.
if you want different results then you have to try different lures. Shallow-running crankbaits got you small fish. Switch to deeper diving lures where the bigger fish are. What is running in the Sac the time of year you're fishing? Find out and match the bait.
Never seen a vid of my fishing backyard. Very nice
What kayak you have
@@leifsage4840 Native watercraft Titan X 10.5
You never fished the best ares of the port. Fish inside lake washington. Fish during the high tide. Spinnerbaits or chatterbaits out in open water. Senko, drop shot, frogs around the edges. That's where to bigs hang out. It's a great place to fish once you learn it. Good luck out there!.
@@robertmayes7629 thanks for letting me know! I’ll have to run it back in a week or so and see how it goes. Thanks again!
I’ve been wanting to try out there , where is a decent place to launch a yak?
@@jimmystinnett7582 barge canal
@@jimmystinnett7582 if you get off 80 at Jefferson go south until you the sign on your right for barge canal access. You can park in there and walk a yak down the boat launch no problem.
What chatterbait color are you throwing out there? I usually get a bunch of fish there on spinner bait, top water spook, and flipping in the shallows.
Subbed.
Way to grind it out. It was the day of the dinks for us.
Thanks it was definitely a grind out there
how much was the launch fee if you dont mind me asking
$15 for day use and another $3 for “non-motorized boat”. Do you have a kayak?
crisp 🔥
Yeah dude figured it out finally! Now people have the option for SD or HD
