preformed it at my junior year mosaic concert with all music groups, band, orchestra, choirs, so amazing. literally chills and sobbed. as a soprano one that high note at the end just gets me 😩
I sang this wayyyy back in 2004 with my high school select choir. We traveled a lot and participated in competitions. I remember we got gold with distinction. This has always been my favorite peice to sing. Such a powerful peice!
I sang this song at my last chorus concert in high school and I remember crying when I performed it and I honestly forgot about his piece until I rediscovered it years later and it makes me sob even more now, especially knowing how it feels to be on a stage bearing your soul with this beautiful artwork and leaving an audience moved and in awe. Theres nothing like it and I will cherish those memories 💙
I love this song so much, it is my favorite song I've ever sang in choir, but covid took our opportunity to perform it in spring 2020. I am so sad that I never got to perform this song in a choir, and I hope I can someday.
We will be singing this amazing piece with my choir in a few days. This will be our first concert after a year and a half break, because of the damn pandemic and this is the perfect song as a come back anthem! You sang it perfectly, good job guys. Never let the music die in you! Greetings from Johns Creek Chorale, GA.
Yesterday was the 10 year anniversary of this performance, I love this song so much and I love to see that people care about this piece and choirs in general 🙂
I remember in the middle of my choir concert a girl decided it was okay to talk and it was heared by everyone, ruining the whole event. Fucking asshole, she ended up being kicked for the rest of year.
I’ve performed this song twice. Once during my sophomore year of high school with my favorite music teacher I’ve ever had. A year later, that teacher left, but I passed my audition to get into a county-wide choir concert, and we performed this song again. I remember being so excited because this was by far my favorite piece we had ever done with him. I’ll never forget this song.
i never got to sing with high schoolers in middle school, but once in 8th grade my high school’s Jazz Choir came in and sang a bit, it was chilling to hear
was supposed to do this song with a county choir before ms. corona decided otherwise. the story behind this song is so sad and this song just makes me so emotional. wish i was able to perform this with my choir in front of an audience
@@joshayuniverse3538 our high school has 2 choirs and the one I'm in there only me and one other guy that sings tenor 1 and the other one I would probably say has maybe 3 tenor 1's, idk because ive never been in it and me and someone else I would like to say are 5he best but idk

Dr. Andrew Crow is one of the most artistic and tasteful conductors of choirs I have ever had the honor of singing with. He is special...
Dr. Crow is the best

I recently sang this for regional choir. Gave me butterflies, and even cried a little. It is a very powerful song

Start your own choir & do it! And may God give you back the time you’ve lost ❤️
i can NOT wait to perform this in a few months…
We sang this for our spring concert. Perfect for us since we weren't able to have an in-person concert for two concerts
We did this song when I was in high school, 15? years ago. It still gives me goosebumps. Such a stunning piece.
When my choir did this, I would go so hard at the end (as a soprano 1) that I’d get lightheaded lol

I got to sing this under the direction of Jospeh Martin (the composer) himself while he accompanied. It was amazing
