Interestingly, 3/4 might work as well but the piece will sure develop into a separate path. When coming with the theme, I imagined the first note being on the 'strong' beat, therefore went along with 4/4 instead of 3/4. :)

If the first note (F) is on the 1st beat, the fourth note (C4/middle C) is intended to be played behind the 16th rest after the 2nd beat, avoiding to be on the beat. It is very often found in other baroque pieces where composers avoid playing the theme on the beats. There are no right or wrong on making it avoiding the beats, it's purely subjective, though was a norm back then.

Voice leading could be better, not a piece I would hear again but it works

​@fantasticfugue9950 it is better than most on UA-cam, but you you could improve by using some different harmonic sequences, and by having clearer phrasing with candences. It is also very rhythmically and thematically monotonous, and could benefit from some well thought out structure.

sadly each staff will be colored same in midi file, unless i make another file and separate the parts to 3 staffs manually. But sure I will do it for the next one :)

Thanks for your comment, the subject itself is actually quite difficult to develop the counter-subject mainly because of the repeated phrase. I will try to improve my writing skills to avoid making those mistakes you mentioned next time. Thanks.

We all have lots of stuff to improve, is alooong long way to all of us to improve, as long you keep doing fugues and making analysis of Bach work will become easier and easier. As a Fugue expert Graphomaniac lacks what is most important: to show his own fugues, saying random counterpoint problems without showing your his work is a kid trying to sound like an expert! Keep doing your Fugues and having lots of fun, is the most important thing in Life!
