ive been friends with a hesquiaht woman on social media for a long time and i plan to travel to the PNW to visit. figured id check out where shes coming from. im far more familiar with cree and plains music, and more cultural traditions from Diné and Tiwa due to where i live now. its very interesting seeing and hearing different cultural characteristics from various first nations. beautiful music, beautiful regalia/dress, beautiful cultural art. i had no idea that the seattle seahawks logo was so heavily influenced by the tribes in that region. the more i learn, the more i appreciate. wonderful

It was an honor to explore your nation, and to cross paths with people who honor your voice Charlie. Being a Navajo this brings uplifting spirits within my children and home.

You'd probably have to sit down with an Elder. They can tell you the story behind the song.. best way to learn.. :)

I loved listening to Charlie and his brother Frisco sing and and watch them dance with such love and passion for their culture. Hesquiat singers and dancers have such poise and pride :D
