In this video, I will create a 4S lithium-ion battery. Basically, this is a 4-series lithium-ion battery that can be charged to 16.8 volts with a capacity of 13 ampere-hours, or a UPS battery that will charge up to 13.8 volts with around 6 ampere-hours of capacity. This is only worthwhile if you have free or very cheap 18650 cells, as 50% of the capacity is wasted.

I have the same problem! How can I solve it?
18650 is too big for a clock, use the battery found in newer laptops, they are pritty flat.
For most clocks they are fine, I have a lot of these so I will probably convert all clocks in the school where I work.
