It only took Oase 4.5 years to make the changes to improve flow and reduce air problems which I originally suggested in my 'Pimp My Filter' Oase 600 video. I'm guessing that's the 'speed of science', lol BTW, that tank is looking very nice behind you.

I honestly don't know why, but I could of sat here for another hour listening to you. Informative to say the least, but think it's has something to do with that marvelous English accent!!! Simply love listening to women with an English accent. It's a calming soothing sound to me. Yeah I know, I'm weird I guess.

You should get your hands on some springtails for this. You'll need a clean up crew.

This is a great build. I'm in a similar phase of experimenting with terrariums as well, but coming from an aquascaping background. I haven't tried any buce or anubias in my terrariums. Thanks for sharing! Love your content.

after my kids said i had too many tanks, they got me another one for my birthday. So I did the same thing!!!! - aquascaped a paludarium - "green-ified" a "penjang" out of elderly stone and a cork pieces to create a garden using Buce, S.Repans, P.Helferi, Littorella uniflora, & Marsilea Hersuita, Keeping about 1 inch of water in the bottom to reduce the need to top off.

Love the mixture of gravels. Will still your idea for my next build video 😊

I would like to thank you for teaching me the reason why BBA shows up, and most importantly, how to get rid of it. It's only a matter of getting N to let's say 15/20 ppm, P to 1/2 ppm and K to 10 or so. Again thank you so very much for the enlightenment, I had tried everything else, not fertilizing, no maintenance, blackout, holly water, searching online, rescaping the hole thing and no results, now I'm on the right way. Also, the tubes orientation, thank you.

I nuked all my Hygrophilla Pinnatafida with a hyrogen peroxide spray once. Trying to kill BBA. Everything else tolerated it well.

Hi, great video. I love the tank ❤.. how is the filter doing? I was looking at buying a 600 recently but saw lots of reddit posts about issues with loud 'purging' noise (trapped air) and also some leaks. Also, Oase on trustpilot has a terrible score. Have you had any issues? If so, what is Oase customer service like?.. I use phosguard too it definitely reduces some algaes.

Just found your channel, and this is the 1st video I watched. What you say is so true. Having kept reef tanks in the past (last one I had was about 10 years ago) I had forgot how relaxing and peaceful having an aquarium can be, it's a much needed escapism. I moved into the world of Planted 3 months ago, and realised how much I missed it! Looking forward to more of your content :) P.S. Your just down the road from me, I'm in Hartlepool 🙂

I think a clip for your mic is in your future! 🙂 Re Algae and low tech set ups, a "trick" that I've used that others may have tried w success as well is: load it with floating plants like frogbit or water lettuce when you first set it up. They grow quickly and help absorb the extra nutrients that are released when the tank is first set up. The plants will usually out compete with most diatoms if your other parameters are ok. (apologies if you mentioned this trick and I may have missed it!)
