The American dream that’s fake just like its democracy.
Amazing book. Probably my favorite I’ve ever read.
It’s such a awesome book and movie and play and everything
I havvee too buuyy itt😞😞
It is sooooo good!
Have you seen the movie? I saw the movie before I even knew there was a book. I absolutely LOVE the movie sooo much! I’ve seen it around fifteen times, and I’m just getting started. I’m now reading the book and loving it as well. Wonder is my new obsession!😁
This was a great book not a big King fan but I did love this story. This will be the 4th time I have read it I never get tired of this story and a great review by the way
So glad you enjoyed the review and thanks for watching. I too have read this one several times, it is definitely one of my favorites!
@@NinaSoden I am at the part now where Jake and Sadie break up when she asks Jake where did the song HONKY TONK WOMAN come from? And wonders if Jake is human. His last line in the chapter is DAMN ROLLING STONES too funny
I have never read this book from cover to cover but now I will there is a twist I never got to see before
@@TimRobinson-hc7mt You will LOVE the twists and turns this book takes you through. :)
@@NinaSoden Lets see Jake and Sadie had the bus crash I had forgotten bits and pieces of this story I have an idea how it ends did not read the last page yet am getting glued I will let you know how I think of the ending if I like it or not maybe by tomorrow I will finish it
Wow! I mean, wtf? Southern accent... wow 👌 Xoxo I remember you
I loved it ❤ and the nickname ahhh!!!!!
i just finished reading this book and immediately went to youtube to find a review to listen to, thanks so much for making this! bright side really hit home with me. i had goosebumps nearly the entire last quarter of it. such an incredible book!! loved your review!!
I am so glad you liked the review and of course the book!!! LOVED THIS BOOK!
Just finished on Audible. I ate it up and it was delicious
Agreed! Thank you so much for your comment. :)
OMG , This is a joke hahahaha good actor sooooo funny. Where do I buy tickets ?
Glad you got some amusement. lol
I cried like a baby towards the second end. This novel is a masterpiece. ❤😭
Thank you so much for commenting.
i just started. Starts good easy reed to, short chapters 💯.
My favorite book!! I cant wait to read the rest of the series
The adored the book until the serial killer turned out to be a demon. I was completely unprepared for that. I honestly hated the rest of the book after that reveal. The scene with the bully is also my favorite, though.
Just cremate me😂 that's also what I thought.
Lol
📚 Had read this book about two years ago "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio, and I was absolutely blown away! This heartwarming story is a reminder that kindness and empathy can change lives. A must-read for all ages. #BookReview #Wonder #ReadingRecommendation ❤️
Agreed!! 100%
I really enjoyed this!
Wow, I read this in grade 3 when the book first hit shelves, and then I read the second book on release as well a year later, AND YET THERE STILL ISN'T A THIRD BOOK! ( There's apparently a novella included in the anniversary edition of the first book with the new art ) and they only now ( late September 2023 ) have the casting choices for the movie.
I love the idea of seeing this in theatres. I hate that the third book hasn't come out yet... maybe it never will. :(
@thesodenteamrealtors1292 Probably better that way. Better the series ends on book two rather than a shitty forced third book is released.
So sad, I would love to read a third one too.
One of the best things King ever wrote. The Breathing Method is kind of a dud, in my opinion, but the other three novellas in Different Seasons are top notch. That was King at the height of his powers.
I first read the book before watching the movie (I haven’t seen the movie yet). I found the writing to be very engaging and stimulating - at least some of the time.
I think that is a common reaction.
Just finished this absolutely amazing 10/10 also I think you would be amazing under the sheets 😂
Thank you for sharing. Great information.
Wasn't it in "Different Seasons" and not "The Stand"?
The Stand was the name of the movie they made from the short story The Body.
Nina.. I would like to know if you are a stage actor.. When I see your picture all that comes to mind is Mary Kelly. That is just the way I imagined her . A very attractive woman that has the Whitechapel hardness.. And the line about .. The Ripper took my heart... Needless to say I enjoy your acting...
Hi Bill, thank you so much for the comment. Yes, I am a stage actor. I've been acting for about 30 years now. It doesn't feel that long but it has been when I look back. I'm so glad I could embody Mary Kelly in a way that brings her to life for you.
@@NinaSoden The reason I ask if you were a stage actor is I love live performances. I've been to many through the years. You stick out. I've only seen one other actor take on a character in the same way. She played a part in Dark Shadows, I think her character was Fanny . The young lady had blonde hair. in one of the story lines she played a victorian unfortunate with esp.. don't laugh. I must thank you for taking me along for the ride. you have been acting for 30 years? What was your first roll.. Baby food commercials ? lol..
@@blrenx lol no, not baby food commercial. It was the first play I ever did in college. Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments. Acting is a true passion of mine. Doing theatre and film is what led me to become an author. It’s a different form of art, but one I am just as passionate about.
@@NinaSoden I also share both of your passions . Respecting the written word and the understanding that words mean specific meanings. I see it in your Acting. I'm no Bill Shakespeare, but in my opinion, that's what makes your Acting so believable . it seems to take you too a deeper level .. I've viewed a few of your Book Review videos, I Found them very entertaining .. But Stephen King ? Really... Really? Jk .. Thanks for chatting ... You have a new Fan...
@@blrenx Stephen King isn't for everyone, but his books were the first books that really got me excited about picking up a book to read. So, I am a loyal fan of his. :) Thanks for watching, commenting, and becoming a new fan. :) If you get inspired to read my books, I hope you like them. You can check them out on Amazon here: amzn.to/3OuUgOB
She really takes you there, also great job doing your research.
Thank you so much. I truly appreciate that. Wayne Miller is a wonderful writer, and he was able to capture her through his words so beautifully. I just hope I give her life in the way she would appreciate.
3:15 Yeah, very true. In Dear John I started cry and didn't noticed, until the water fall on the book 😔
YES! YES! YES!!!
Well done Nina......... You tell a good story! Likes it I does.
Thank you so much.
I was a prison guard with Roni. Maybe helped train her a little lol. Miss you Roni.
It's the spirit that also possessed Frank Dodd.
"I would have bought'n"
I finished Cujo last night. I felt like your review completely missed any symbolism and what the book is about - human vulnerability. Life is so tough for every character. Every individual plot line is stressful, and the monster in Tad's closet was something different for everyone. The dog was the personification of the monster for Tad but losing a job, an abusive husband, never being happy was it for other characters. There may have really been an evil presence in there and I like that it's ambiguous. It's known that Stephen King wrote this book in the lowest point of his alcoholism(he doesn't remember writing it) and it feels to me like a big old expression of "life sucks".
Good movie romance. I read the backstory of how the actors originally meant for the role were Elle Fanning and Diego Luna. Observation demands a lesson in type. The older Elle gets, the more you realize her face looks 13 years old. It explains why she is never cast opposite an older man in a romance movie where they are the leads. While Hollywood has done it's share of that with newbies, Elle is way too established and her reputation is on the line. She's a strong woman and no doubt saw what that practice did to previous actresses, negatively. Turns out the last minute change was a good choice, all the way around. The movie is very inventive, which is rare and therefore took some getting used to. As you stated, the makers seemed a little less of having faith in their premise. Good thing it stayed around for 3 years.
The monster in Tad's closet is an early attempt by Stephen King to link characters within the Castle Rock universe. It was alluded to be the spirit of Frank Dodd, the cop/serial killer who was caught by Sheriff Bannerman (The cop Cujo killed) and psychic Johnny Smith in the Dead Zone. Though Cujo is one of my favorite books, I think the premise was scarier without the supernatural element. That angle was left out of the movie (oh, and the person who died in the book lives).
Love this. Thank you for sharing.
Just found it yesterday and started reading this evening. I like to read reviews of authors I'm not familiar to get opinions. I hope for my time to be well used. I'll let you know.
I can't wait to hear what you think of the book after you read it. :)
I love this book
I'm sorry I did try to sit through his book called people it was utterly horrible it was written like a 5th grader
The Event
🤣🤣🤣
Is the movie stand by me the same exact thing as the book the body by Stephen king
It’s not identical, but yes the movie is based on the story.
I just came across your review. Since The Black Phone is now a motion picture would you consider sharing your thoughts? I’d love to hear them!
I'd love to. Give me a little time, I haven't yet seen the movie and I'd like to do a comparison. :)
I was actually thinking about trying to adapt The Julian chapter into a play one day… It’s now one of my favorite stories I have ever read
I think that would be an amazing idea. It's a play I would watch!
@@thesodenteamrealtors1292 omg wow thank you! I’m actually already writing Julian’s opening monologue for my play!
A very revealing video, thanks. I also have issues w/ the other form of const. and wonder if they are related. Maybe my phobia of telephoning is just another symptom of the mental blockage, too. My father is a great source of this behavior!
Why did she leave lipstick bounty hunters, she was my favorite
That is a great question. I will reach out and have her come answer for you. Roni, why did you leave Lipstick Bounty Hunters?
Hi William! Thank you sincerely for the compliment. The short answer is the job became increasingly dangerous and stressful for my family and I. Between the lawsuits, the media and a case with a missing young girl (she was 1 of 5 murdered girls by two serial killers), I could no longer trust in my abilities to keep my family and myself safe. We didnt know it at the time but there was an agenda against the bail industry coming to the surface and we were smack dab in the middle of it. For me, it was best to bow out as graceful as I possibly could. If you'd like a free copy of my book, I'm more than happy to send it you. You can send your info through my site at ronifaciane.com. Thank you again for the feedback. Have a wonderful rest of your week :)
Thank you so much for sharing your review. You are such a bright spirit. I come here today because I watched the movie many times(it is my favorite movie). My guru teachers Jeff and Shaleia (twin flames in harmonious union) have put me on to the movie where Noah and Allie actually play twin flames in the movie. I am talking to my twin flame we have met. I’m happy to read this book. Might just get the physical copy instead of reading it online. I also love that you seen the truth in this book that it’s all about love and romance and that everybody is spirit and light and we’re just expressing ourselves in the most authentic way and remaining true to that
your favorite 📕
Finally someone did Mary Jane Kelly justice well done 👏
Thank you for the sweet complement and for watching the video.
@@NinaSoden you're welcome and thank you x
John, it's such a pleasure to see and hear you read again. Lewis Carroll, what a wonderful choice! Lol
Catherine Eddowes wasn't a prostitute....she was homeless and sleeping rough the night she was killed, she'd been arrested earlier that evening for being publicly intoxicated, she was stupidly released late at night when the ripper got her. Oh and Jack the ripper was a jew....he was called Aaron Kosminski, who changed his name to George Chapman to sound more English.....Nice try though.
I doubt Annie would have spoken about her killer with so much admiration and gratitude....!
