5:06 Nice video, but your explanation is not quite correct. The low pressure area is created in the full length of the thin part of the pipe, not right at the end. You can put your siphon pipe anywhere on the thin part of the pipe and it will work even better. When water flows in the think part from your pump, it has high pressure, and when it is then forced through the thin part of the pipe the speed of the water goes up (because water cannot be compressed, except under immense pressure like very deep under the sea) and as a result the pressure goes down, which creates the low pressure area for the siphon to work. The concept is based on Bernoulli's principle. We use siphons in all our koi ponds to siphon air to aerate the water. 😉

PS, installed my Rainbird 5004 rotor sprinklers today and disconnected the old 150 smaller sprinklers all around the garden as these monsters truly irrigate 12m+ far reducing the amount of sprinkler heads needed to irrigate my lawn and garden beds😅

Used the Sonoff wifi switch for my previous house. Very cost effective and you buy a switch for each station. Just make sure to setup the switch on “inching mode” where you just put the switch ON, and it will automatically go off x minutes/seconds later. Initially setup the ON and OFF separately and then the one day the OFF event didn’t trigger. Also great that you can de-centralise your system and still control it from one place. At my new house I bought the Wyze Sprinkler Controller because it comes with a few extra features and for the number of stations I needed, the cost was similar (And reputable company that have a history of continued app support).

Hey, for your doggo digging in your bedding. Try a citrus essential oil in a bottle of water. Add like 5 or 6 drops and shake well. Spray the area every now and then and your doggo will leave it alone. Takes a little while but works for me.

I'd recommend if you can get a star picket and cut it relatively short and use a u bracket to attach it to your quick coupling valve helps stables it when plugin

7:26 Saw his error of his ways! :) I have used the thicker hdpe as sleave pipe Have some underground drippers installed with Monaco Bermuda That is incredible!! lawn and drippers :) The lawn uses way less water than Kikuyu and the drippers place the water at the roots minimal evaporation, surface is hard as a rock but the lawn survives (we have restrictions) It has started raining in some parts of Namibia and we had some so it should be green in a bit was green thru winter.
