Martini-Henry MkIV at 2-Gun Match (Aug. '23)
Переглядів 160Рік тому
At a very humid 2-Gun match in Tucson Arizona. I saw on the registration page that there were several people signed up to shoot the manual division and I refuse to be out hipstered. Stage 3 starts by firing 3 rounds at 3 targets at about 170 yards. Move to pistol bay and shoot 2 shots each at 3 targets. Stage 1 involved moving across the bay from position to position and engaging the 3 targets ...

That is one manly shoulder. Well done.
10 dead Zulu
LOVE IT ! LOL
You shoot better than I do.
Good job!
9/10 for the smoke cloud (10/10 needs the combined arms of ranks of fire 😅)
So what was the issue with the M1911?
Magazine issues and worn recoil spring.
@@SuperMutie I assume you've fixed these since?
This looks like lots of fun. I don’t remember it being this fun when I went through Basic Training at Ft. McClellan in 1979……😅
Saludos desde chile buen video, que arma es?
Un STEN MKV (en la mayor parte) semiautomático Cañón de 16 pulgadas por razones legales.
Suggestion for shooting from those super-duper low ports: instead of splaying out your firing arm's elbow to the side, bring it tight against your torso and then lay down on top of your arm. It's comfortable and you can get a lot lower for shooting under a VTAC or whatever.
Nice
....wtf did u just watch
Well, I suppose it's still good enough for government work....
Sick build bro
Should use small rifle primers instead as they are a bit harder, old guns had really heavy trigger pulls due to low primer sensitivity back then. Either that or reduce the main spring tension.
Very much on brand good sir. Enjoyed it very much!
This is by far my favorite entry so far.
omg i love this!!!!! im so inspired to do an iron sight run
Ian jumpscare
Rule Britannia!
Highspeed low drag if i ever saw it
I am surprised you didn’t bring out your magic garand
Like a perfect circle
This will later be used in a congressional hearing as "proff" 50.cals are "too dangerous"
I was there
sure you were
What is that gun? Kinda looks like a sten mp3008 Thompson sandwich
“You should probably use a Mag with ammo in it.” I laughed until a remembered that I made that mistake at a match and it cost me a stage. 😂
Was that Ian calling hits at the end?

This just screams "Tally ho lads"
Very sweet shooter
Very nice garand and very nice shooting sir
And that children is how grandpappy and his boys used to roll, nothing fancy...just iron sights. 😁
Forget vertical mag, is that a thompson handguard and lee-Enfield sights?
Sort of. The handguard was made to be like the thompson's, to help with the legally required 16inch barrel. The Mk5 sten had a front sight like the no4 rifles. It also takes the same bayonet.
Wow, I never noticed that about the mk5 sten sights, I thought that you added that. It's pretty cool!@@SuperMutie
I was glad to film that first stage for you! Good shooting.
It's a dry heat.
He's got his British Army shorts on so that is good
I've never seen that Sten before, I'm intrigued
Couldn't find an adult size round?
great shooting!
Good shooting. Great fashion statement.
