There are different types of Swedes in Sweden. Generally speaking, more than 90% are cold people. That is, you can have fun with them like having a fika, but that's all. I was married to a Swede who was an exception to his kind, he was warm and funny, a good man. I can say that only marriage makes you grow together, love and appreciate your partner or if not, you can divorce them. Living separately because of less " administration " is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Let's put it right, it is less responsibility towards each other. You pay your fees individually, you buy your clothes, you pay for your flowers or perfume. You pay for your trip. You pay your share at the restaurant. I think there is no feeling in this, the man, his feelings and chivalry doesn't exist. The word relationship is being degraded to something which doesn't make you happy. So if she and him do not share daily life together and both do their thing in their way and come together over the weekend to eat, drink and be intimate, this will never be fulfilling, and nobody would call it love but some kind of agreement between the two not to feel lonely. Because loneliness is a problem in Sweden. Yet they don't realise that the reason for this is themselves. If you're young and don't marry because of love, you will divorce sooner or later. There is also a difference between the two sexes, men have become more feminine and women more masculine. That is not the right balance. Women don't dress feminine, but if you do you don't fit in the societal picture, you're looked upon with critical eyes. I thought you should know this too.
