gingin93 your motor is the 1.6i 16valve DOHC,i have the same motor,but my mazda is from the 2003 (BJ).My motor is not nervous,instead it´s very quiet.

used the original wiring and ignition. Reused the injector loom from the SOHC

@@bosskelvin195 no, i actually got a nissan with a 16dohc sr18 engine. ive since sold it, gotten a Subaru legacy gt twin turbo and i now own a 2.0 toyota voxy 😐

hola, me llamó Rafael, soy de chile, mi pregunta es como consigue poner a punto la correa de distribución y poner el distribuidor a corde a esa culata, ya que yo tengo el mismo pero no he logrado poner a punto y acorde el distribuidor. por favor una ayuda. gracias
+Rafael Ariel Rivera Veliz I Believe there are the letters Y and Z on the camshaft cogwheels wich should be on top when placing a distribitor belt. 2 marks in the edge of the cogwheels should be lined up with the marks on the cilinderhead, between the 2 cogwheels. The bottem cogwheel (crankshaft) has a mark that should point up. Please note that the ignition timing is quite critical too
