Renault Kangoo blower fan speed fix
Fan resistor /heat fuse replacement on resistor pack on a 2001 Kangoo, 1.4i.
Fan only operational on 3, i.e. "full blast".
Replaced the diode on the circuit board too, since there was a crack in it.
Usually it is only the heat fuse itself that is responsible for the fan speed malfunction. Try changing out fuse only, as first mend.
Especially this type of resistor pack, shown here on this car; type:
Behr Hella, pno: 9xx 009 122-041 is nearly impossible to find as new replacement part.
Other optional pno's are : Nissan 77010-44016 and Vemo V46-79-0003.
Just as hard to find..
The heat fuse/resistor it self is NOT recommended to be soldered in, due to the heat it will be suffering, and the high possibility of burning it out, on the attempt to do so.
A better option is to solder on a couple of auto electrical wire connector spades to the posts on the board, and then join in the fuse using a pair of pliers to crimp ends on.
:)
Tip: One can not always determine if the fuse has been blown, visually.
Cost of this repair is very low. These resistors are cheap 5 ea for a dollar.
And if you are in possession of a soldering iron, some auto electrical cable connectors, and some pliers... you surely can do this.
Fuse Spec:
121deg 250volt 10amp thermal fuse
Diode is VS20ETS08-M3

Unfortunately you completely missed the most crucial part of this. The electric adjuster has a ball on the end of the actuation rod which has to fit into the groove inside the headlight. The groove is in the bulb fitting that pivots and is controlled by the actuator rod. What I haven’t been able to do is get the ball into the groove. I’m hoping that I can hold the bulb fitting so that the ball can be pushed into the groove, but I haven’t tried it yet. I was hoping you, might address that here. Shucks.

How to put the electric adjuster back into the lamp??

Hold and pull back on the reflector through the main lamp hole, with a clean rag or clean glove on your hand (to prevent staining your reflectors inside). While pulling back the reflector, position the ball-pin on the motor rod, in an slight angle, to enter the clip and groove, and then sliding it in through the clip. A little force is needed. If engaged correctly into the groove, you can now feel if the reflector is properly attached, by push/pull on motor, and the reflector responses. If all OK, orientate and twist/lock the motor assy in its designated slot. 😊

Damn dude. 2 hours on the internet looking to see if the manual adjuster could be removed and the motorized one put on a new headlight and nothing until I found this vid. Thank you for posting!

I am busy with replacing K12 headlights therefore I searched and found this video and learned to be careful with the grooves. Anyway it took almost 3 hours to replace one side because of the narrow space around the lamp body. The other side will be faster I hope.
