I agree with most of everything, though as far as hiding inside, as long as you aren't seen you should not have a horde knocking down your door. Your area, I believe 400 tiles? Around you will still get zombie aggro and movement.

I didn't know that, actually. My thought process was that I would shake the cold quicker without it and stop the sneezing. I tried some slow healer runs without much luck, maybe it was circumstance or maybe they changed it? Not sure, it may just have been a missed opportunity.

For build 42, some options that were in the right click menu may have been moved to the crafting menu, so if something isn't working, check there.

It's not, but you need so much to be viable that it's worth skipping early if you don't take veteran+hunter. I really think early firearms needs a buff, at least pistols, rifles, etc. should be more accurate.

Just as a note for build 42, a lot of right click options have been moved to the crafting screen, but conceptually it still works the same.

​@@WavesyGetsGooddunno if you know yet or not, i just learned this 2 days ago after playing a bunch since b42 came out but you can drink a tiny tiny bit of soda to remove all fatigue and tiredness. Its crazy busted and certainly a bug but ive used it on a new playthrough to stay up for the first 2 weeks and loot 24/7 after getting like 4 cans at the gas station. Its busted.

I actually cut a part out where I tried to do it and couldn't figure it out. I got it sorted now, but would've been nice!

It's very good gameplay-wise, but it's also just extremely charming and feels very Americana.

That's CDDA for ya. If you have lead foot or one of those other expanded traits that let you damage zeds by running into them, a no-weapon build isn't too suicidal. There's also a trait where you do damage with shoves, but all these are from mods, I think.

There's probably also traits that lessen the energy spent when you shove zombies.

I do agree with you. For some insider baseball, I have some goals in terms of uploads and for the next year. I wasn't expecting build 42 to drop in '24. The next couple videos will be outside this series, and I'll have enough time to hit the benchmarks for progress for episode 3. I hope you'll check it out when it comes out 🙏

I haven't done anything special aside from zooming in. I run 1920x1080 monitor and no mods.

I think they have their own charm, but I do understand. I believe there's already mods out that restore the old moodles that would be a good fit for ya!

I feel that in a short time, people will get used to them. I personally think they're both charming, but I'm embracing the new!

Yeah, I always do. It seems like you'd at least know some of the map, especially around the near by towns.

All the 3rd party tools are definitely gonna be a while. But I have heard you can gain the generator skill by simply leveling electrical. Not confirmed, though.

@@WavesyGetsGood I just checked. And yes, I can now start the generator at electrician level 3. I better get started working on that skill.

theres a book store in brandenburg which is one of the new towns near echo creek

Echo Creek is definitely lower pop, but they really nailed the small town feel. It feels like home 🥹

riverside is not that bad. But theres way less loot there so that makes sense. brandenburg is completely effed u can hardly drive there

@ problem is it’s to big I killed 500+ zeds and it took like 1 week and that was just the maintenance 2 rooms then there is the gun range and stuff I’m on low pop to

...massive dissapointment, cleared the whole building in 1-2weeks and the loot wasn't any better than in army surplus stores (literally found 4 rifles and 2 pistols) XD

Yes you can, go up to a window with a corpse in hand and either hold e or press e I can’t remember which input it id precisely.

If you got an aiming level of 2 or above and enough ammo, the zombies in Echo Creek are nothing

For once, I didn't break my leg in a car crash. It has to be the wizard hat.

​@WavesyGetsGood ive been driving like a madman and destroying cars, seems like they definitely changed crash damage and maybe implemented it so if you break and attempt to stop it wont just break your legs and kill you anymore. Ive destroyed 3+ cars in the span of a week driving 60+ and braking most times yet still destroying vehicles and havent been maimed beyond a deep wound after a windshield broke, with slow healer. Maybe its just me idk, you experiment (drive like shit) more and have a similar experience?
