Much tighter than the Libertines. Carl and Pete bring out both the worst and best in each other.

The track is about the feeling of being betrayed by someone close to you. The lyrics describe the narrator's realization that the person has infected their relationship with lies and malicious gossip, which was made worse by the person turning it around and putting the blame on the narrator. The chorus asserts that "Bang bang, you're dead", meaning the relationship is irreparable and lost. The song encourages the listener to see the truth of these relationships, recognize the hurtful behaviour, and move on with life.

Gary Powell has been the backbone for some of the best music we've ever had! How can anyone cut on Gary? He's sat there drumming behind Carl Barat thru so many GREAT songs, I can't even begin to count them! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I say GO GARY! (how about the job he just did in the Libs reunion? It's a wonder his drums weren't smokin after the Reading show)!

carl is a better musician and a better singer than pete but i prefer pete's lyrics..... that;s why the libertines were so good.... babyshambles songs are like poets and DPT are good but lack that spark that pete brought to the libs..... bring back the libs. please.
