During a fill-in stint on AM Beaver County, I decided to take the time to express some feelings on why the "trending" culture has its issues. From May 16, 2016.

So, for a brief time (Late Summer '14 to December '15) I was associated with the LP-FM station WXED in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. This particular aircheck stems from Ellwood's Fall Festival, where me and a few others traded off in between opping the board and being live. Here I'm in the studio while DJ Tyler Mac (Tyler McCowin) is live on Lawrence. An interesting piece of my radio history.

I did Solid Gold for 90 minutes before a high school basketball game this day. The audio comes from the AM feed, because I recorded this for posterity. I own no copyrighted material. Do enjoy.

This station was the FM station in Beaver Falls, PA. It was located in the same building where WBVP/WMBA resides today. I found this aircheck on an unmarked cassette I purchased at Rogers, Ohio. Sound quality isn't best, but for something that comes from my hometown....it's a gem worth sharing. Enjoy.

The main event was the Beaver County Boom fireworks show from Zambelli, and we broadcast that as well as the pre-show with the Johnny Vann Combo. But in between those happenings (and after), I was behind the mic playing some more Solid Gold. Here's the salvaged highlight film. A quick one here: a cassette I dug up had a couple of moments from the Pittsburgh stations The Rebel 104.7 (now NewsTalk 104.7) and 100.7 K-Bear (now Star 100.7). A little taste of how the Nashville explosion of the early 90s affected the Pittsburgh airways.
