We used to play this.
Some songs make you feel good. Some songs give you the reassurance you needed.
I don't know how I ended up here. I'm just glad that I did. Nice tunes you got on your channel.

Beautiful song and performance. Thank you very much for sharing. Video 👍
My father was the drummer of this band I would post a picture of him but comments don't allow me to post pictures

The harder the fall
Me and my best friend bought a MOTD cassette from one of the Raleigh record stores probably in 1987 or so and we played that thing over & over. Don't know if the collection of songs even had a title but It was a few years before Charivari. I'd love to hear/have any of their older songs if anyone has any of them.
Great tune! I dig it.
Hot dang
Does anyone from the Mary on the Dash crew remember Freddie Pryor? I think she married on of the MotD band members... Lawrence? Anyway, sure would like to hear from her, she was a friend...
That's right, Lawrence's girlfriend was Fred, they got married and I think they moved to the DC area. That was around 1997-98. That's all I know.
check that 87-88 NOT the 90's
lol - need me some 3D glasses for this one!
Nice tune.
Ran sound for Mary on the Dash many times in Chapel Hill. This band was much better live than any studio recording could ever catch. Had a couple "Maxell Cassette Tapes" of great shows "borrowed", never to be seen again. Have always been sad never to hear them again. Quite a pleasure to find this.
Been trying to locate some history on the band........they rocked Chapel Hill while I was there in the late 80's/ early 90's. Could anyone provide info on the band members?
Good work Mr. Royal.
Your thinking of a very early song called "Lost Train" it was released only on a few hundred cassettes in 1986.
Been looking for copies of their music for years. Was there a lyric about 'light smoke giltering through her auburn hair. she wasn't cold, no she was open. and once colorede corridors were bare...'ke
Wow thanks for posting this, I played bass in this band from 1986 to the beginning of 1990. I remember the Boat House show very well as it was probably the largest crowd we had seen, as Waxing Poetics drew their home crowd.
Do u remember Freddie Pryor? I think she married on of the MotD band members... Lawrence? Anyway, sure would like to hear from her, she was a friend... If you can put me in touch, I'd be grateful...
Saw them for the first time at the Boat House in Norfolk in 1988. They opened for Waxing Poetics. Good stuff.
