After many years, I finally managed to get hold of the original Dolby Atmos Mix of the Doctor Who Theme, from the Dark Water/Death in Heaven 3D Bluray. Schade, dass die Anforderungen von Dolby Cinema so hoch sind und es nicht einfach damit getan ist einen Beamer mit Dolby Vision Support hinzustellen, sowas wie die Bestuhlung müsste Dolby echt nicht vorgeben! Dann würde es wahrscheinlich auch mehr Dolby Cinemas geben. Wenn in Hamburg das geplante Kino jetzt aufmacht gibt es immerhin mal eins in Norddeutschland, das nicht ewig wir weg von Hannover wäre.
@savebility2680 die wollen halt jede einzelne Komponente bis hin zur Wandbekleidung bestimmen, deshalb der hohe Preis. Ich finde aber auch dass sie in Deutschland mehr Dolby Cinema-Technik in normale bzw. premium Säle einbauen könnten, so wie in den USA, wo sie mit AMC die Dolby Technik jeweils in den besten/größten Saal eingebaut hatten.
Some of the orchestra is a bit quiet compared to the bassline and the overall mix isn’t balanced, I’ll work on this for V2

ngl i think its kinda boring now. those extra melodies helped make the theme more interesting. while yes, i think its a bit crowded. i think doing it in a more refined way rather than removing EVERYTHING would be better.
I agree with you, this was an experiment I did because I was curious, but I’ll eventually do some more versions in the future that include more elements from the original track.

This is fantastic, just been trying to decode the 16 channel with the atmos software but not sure on how to get it into a WAV. If you dont mind, how did you get it to work?
@@doctorwhofan90 these aren't stems bud. This is the actual mix ripped straight from the Blu ray. We do share the themes, we do not share isolations.
Think we figured it out how to decode them into wavs now all 16 channels
I used Music Media Helper’s Atmos Helper tool ,in combination with the Dolby Reference Player, to output all 16 channels separately. (More than 16 aren't technically possible) MMH 8 link: reva.blob.core.windows.net/mmh8/publish.htm I didn’t include 4 of the 16 channels btw because 2 of them were completely silent, the other 2 didn’t really have any sound at all

Well if you go to their website, they will give you the addresses for every theater you live in, and then it will show it. Sadly in Tyler Texas, they don’t have any of them, except for Dallas El Paso, and a few others
