Here at Project 9 Automotive we aim to bring you exciting whilst entertaining content all about cars. That includes anything with an engine, but mostly race or performance cars. We buy and build our own projects, with the aim of either racing or showing them to other car enthusiasts like ourselves once complete!
BUILDING THE CHEAPEST CUP RACE CAR - CITROEN C1 | PART 2
We bought a Citroen C1 to make into a cup race car. Our aim is to attempt to compete in the C1 Racing Cup event at Silverstone for the last round of the championship once it's all finished. In the first episode we strip the car fully apart. Now it's time to build it back together... In this episode we renew the timing chain and clutch and assemble it back in the car, along with the suspension with all new parts!

I've got a Mk2 C1 as a daily, so tempted to turn it into a track car, but it's just so cheap to run, and I don't want two of the things! Plus the racing and parts are all based around the mk1
Great daily’s aren’t they! The kit can also be used on the mk2s now, the regulations allow to run both mk1s and mk2s together. The floor is identical between both so the cage fits at the same points. Just the body panels which are different 😀
