I always said they need to make an on demand HHO cell that is large enough and has a large enough amperage to convert H20 to HH0 on demand as the engine requires. The electricity usage to create hydrogen is astronomical ... if the anti-EV lobby think BEVs are "dirty" (because of the electricity needed to make the battery packs) then hydrogen-powered cars are highly-polluting. And hydrogen filling stations are still few and far between - and some of those are being discontinued too.
