Not really at all
Not really. Only major one I can think of is a recovery penalty for whiffing crouch medium punch.

@@KleptoFG one question: the target combo into flash, is there a trick to getting it to come out? You do it so consistently and in training I’m current at 1/20! I’m holding charge down straight after the Mp connects but not having much luck
You’ve got to delay the actual flash kick after the target combo. It took me a really long time but once you get it down you’ll be like how did I ever have problems with it
Good info & examples. Thanks. I've played countless fighters, & if I can finally link the Capcom ID to get online (been trying 8 months off & on), I hope to do vs & see where I end up in ranked. Can't get to the console daily, or even weekly, depending. Ranked can be tough when the other player does the things you mentioned w/better reactions. Nice vid.
Watched this video back in November when I was in Silver and just stumbled upon it again as a newly-minted Diamond player. A lot of things said in here have stuck with me.
I am a Guile main (okay/decent player I would say) and I don't play Ranked Match as much. As a D1, I smoke a lot of Master players in Custom Room, but when play Ranked, I can't seem to do well at all and never leave D1 - I really believe it also comes down to matchmaking. Sometimes I get someone as a P5 way harder to beat than a D4/5 or even a Master. Anyway, your Guile is great with solid conversions and overall match awareness - keep it up!
Thanks i appreciate it. The best advice I have for climbing in ranked is to not do anything that carries a high risk unless it’s definitely going to kill if it works but you won’t die if it doesn’t

when you say "5mp" does that mean neutral mp and does "2mk" mean crouching mk? I've never heard it described as such

If you look up “fighting game number notation” it’ll show you a graph of what the numbers mean, but yeah you got it right 5 is neutral or “stand” and 2 is crouch

I play on a hitbox or “leverless controller” but I’ve played on ps4/5 and arcade stick
