So cool
Got to appreciate the magnificent NZ landscape, solid 👌
NZ landscape paired with NZ music is always a strong combo! 💪
Some stunning scenic views, underwater footage and beautiful sunsets. A great choice of music in parts as well, really ties the whole video together. Solid vlog 👌
Thanks for watching! Hard to take a bad shot when you're in a place like Fiji haha
Awesome trip Tim
Thanks for the video. I was thinking about doing a similar hike the other way. St Arnaud up the Travers valley over to West Sabine hut over the Waiau Pass to Lake Guyon Hut and then over Fowler Pass. After seeing how steep Waiau Pass is, I think I will have to revise my plans unless I get in a lot better shape. I think I will just on the Canterbury side of the pass. I love the area between St. James and Molesworth Station. What time of year was this?
Thanks for watching! Waiau Pass definitely surprised us with how steep it was. Normally though that snow section would be a scree slope which would be much easier to descend from your end. But it was present when we went, thus we ended up rock climbing around it. This was almost a year ago exactly I believe. So residual snow can be found on the South facing side of the pass into those early summer months.
Don't cry bro. I will hug you.
Fiji is also an extremely dangerous country my brother. Crime rate is too high. And not just petty crime, I am talking robbery with violence, rape, assault and even murder. Their citizens don't even feel safe in their own country. Lots of scammers and people trying to rip off tourists. Do exercise caution when you visit Fiji next time. I lived in Fiji for 44 years. Extremely fortunate that I migrated from Fiji.
Commenting before i finish the video, lets see if this is a banger
As sure as the sun rises in the east, this channel puts out absolute perfection ❤

Nice guys! Good to see some other locals enjoying our backyard!
Thanks mate! Always happy to be out in the High Country. We are very lucky with how many cool spots are tucked away only a few hours from Christchurch.
this is so cute and zoe is beautiful, i hope you guys have many great adventures to come!
Thank you! I am very lucky to have Zoe. Looking forward to planning many future camps and hikes with her.
...and that's in the dead of winter. Certainly not like that on a typical UK winter's day! Great to see you relaxing and enjoying life and of course especially impressed by Tim's dips - both of them! Obviously very refreshing...
Thanks for watching Jeff! It was unnaturally warm for that time of year for sure. Just the previous week it had been consistently sub zero temperatures. Not complaining though. Made for a great trip. The swim was definitely cold but warmed up quick in the sun. Tim
Great day walk Tim. Is the weather always like that???
Can be tricky to find good weather like that in Arthurs Pass but definitely a lot more stable in the late summer months which was when this was filmed.
It’s a good day when a new video drops
💞
incredible as always brother
Day 1 supporter badge would be yours if I could give it to you.

@@Corbin13ftw Honestly fair shout to the surgeon. He did the best he could once they had run out of medical grade titanium. Fulton Hogan in the parking lot came in clutch for me!
Amazing location Tim. I guess it gets really busy in the summer though. Great video quality - did you use a GoPro or something else? How often do you get to record an avalanche? That was excellent timing.
This was just shot on an iphone 8 plus! I really want to upgrade to a nice go pro in the future. Thanks heaps for watching. Mueller Hut would get crazy in summer that is for sure. Especially with day walkers. It was already hectic as hell in April. Nice at the hut though once the day walkers have left and the evening calms down. Surprisingly enough the avalanches on the other side of the valley were going off about once every hour. Lucky to get my phone out in time though. Have you been to Mt Cook National Park?
@@TheHi_King I invested in a GoPro 12 before I spent 3 months in NZ earlier this year. I'm based in the UK although originally from NZ, and just love returning to tramp. Another 3-4 months planned next NZ summer, and this time I aim to head to the SI. Passing 3 months in the NI was very easy to do though - excellent tramping in the Ruahines, Tararuas, Whirinaki etc. Bits of the TA...I had a fantastic time. I haven't been to the Mt Cook area for years but your video reminded me just how good it is! Keep the videos coming...they provide real inspiration! Jeff
@@jeffc1604 That's awesome to hear! I am the opposite to you in that sense. I have not really done much tramping in the North Island other than a bit around Tongariro. Would love to get into the Tararua's. I got some friends in Upper Hutt so I might have to try tee up a trip that way. I would love to do the South Island section of the TA. Been looking at planning for that for maybe 2026 if I can swing the time off. South Island definitely has some magical scenery. Let me know if you want any recommendations for good walks but it sounds like you know a fair bit about NZ anyway. Thanks for the motivation to keep posting! I love making these videos mainly for my friends and family but it's nice to see others get something out of them too.
This is an epic vid Tim
@@sophiemills3630 gosh, you just made my day Miss Mills. Thanks for watching
Great job on the solo mission!
Another wonderful hike Tim! I love the atmosphere early in the morning when you are the only one who is hitting the trail. Fantastic film man!
Thanks for watching! Nothing like being out in the mountains with only the sunrise and the birds for company!
a truly magical adventure indeed. thank you for sharing brother x
Too kind good sir!
I enjoyed this section on the ta south bound at the start of the year. Went from blue lake to Anne hut that day.
Keep the helicopter away, lazy people that can't be bothered walking.
@@boostedshuttle2231 luckily it wasn't a charter helicopter but was some DOC workers getting dropped off to clean out the toilets and do some work with chainsaws!
An inspiration as always. Every video you put out gets better and better, can’t wait for the next one
You are too kind my good man. I am enjoying learning the processes and improving on aspects. I still have a level of quality in my head I would like to achieve with my videos and I am not quite there yet. Will keep working towards it.
A pleasureful video experience as always tim x. glad the authorities did not establish a search party for being late back
We almost ended up with the search and rescue to be honest haha. Our original plan was to go to blue lake hut and then go back over the pass but the presence of snow made descending too challenging for the girls. So we were left with no option but to hightail it for St Arnaud by Wednesday or risk someone’s parents calling search and rescue. Hence why we made a journey that normally takes 3-4 days in two.

Did you actually have to get metal rods put down your leg because of doing flips?
Not because of doing flips but I did have an accident at an orchard which resulted in a big fall breaking my femur in 6 places. They had to put it all back together with a bunch of titanium so yes my leg has got metal rods in it.
this shit is so funnily sad
