The problem is that if you don't have your first three qualifying sales you can't get access to the API 😐 So you have to try to get the qualifying sales without using images which sucks.
Hi Melissa, you're right, you do have to get three qualifying sales first. Unfortunately there's no way around that as it's Amazon's requirement for their API. But in the meantime, you can still use affiliate links in your blog articles or on Pinterest to help you get those first sales. These tips may help: www.wptasty.com/affiliate-marketing-side-hustle
So you did not solve the problem without making the first 3 sales
You do still need to meet Amazon's requirements to join their API program, which does include the 3 qualifying sales.
I am in word press and searched foodie pro but nothing shows up?
Hi Karen, Foodie Pro is a premium-only theme, so it's not in the WordPress directory. You can find it here though: feastdesignco.com/product/foodie-pro-classic/ Hope that helps!
This is not helpful. Basically, Amazon is cutting the small publishers loose and focusing exclusively on e-commerce affiliates.

How do you do this without the plug in? I’m not about to pay a bunch of money just for one plug-in. I have a lot of other things I’m already paying for.
Hi, you would need to set everything up using the Amazon Product Advertising API.

Too bad this is only good for word press, I am stuck with a bunch of broken image links ,,, trying to find a solution

@@wptasty No, I haven't ,,, transitioning to word press at this point is too large of a project ... I was making less than 100 a month on Amazon anyway so I just placed all the emphasis on google adsense. but thanks for your reply

The links do not work, while I did have lots of sales in the last 30 days, I got this message "" Featured image could not be retrieved from Amazon. TooManyRequests - The request was denied due to request throttling. Please verify the number of requests made per second to the Amazon Product Advertising API. This can happen for several reasons: your API keys are less than 72 hours old, you have not had a sale in the last 30 days, or you have exceeded your API rate limit." I hope I didn't buy your plugin for nothing :-(
