Thanks for an actual on road sound sample, best sounding exhaust for the cp2
Looks so sick in black!
Hello, could you send me that link to seat cover again? Link is broken...
Lovely ♥
Nice modifications! Bike looks good. (I have the same). The torque specifications, is that Yamaha's specifications or the ones provided by the engine guard company? (I want to install crash bobbins and I want to know if I can use the same torque)
when i bought mine from Amazon, it came with different connectors. I kept it and just hotwired them directly
Looks incredible!
Just a quick question. Is that tail light legal, I mean, are there any requirements to have some (I think 4 to 6-inch) gaps be the signal light from the tail light?
As far as my state goes (New York) it's legal. There isn't a requirementa on how far the turn signals need to be but the stop light does need to be visible from 300 ft away and there has to be a white light aiming on the license plate so its visible from 50 ft away which this kit satifies. I guess I'd check the laws for where you're located. Hope this helps!
@abitofsindy Thank you. I'll have che the local law.
How’d you fix hyperflash?
There is an option to get the kit with a dual-load equalizer to slow down the flash which I did not get. Basically, I did nothing at all this is how the version I chose came.
i just found your channel an am also a bike enthusiast... thanks for explaining everything
My pleasure!
Just don't crash .the bike is replaceable your not !
I'm doing my best!
Sounds sweet 👌 I’m having trouble getting the original head nuts off cos of all the corrosion over the years.
Thanks and did you try WD40 with some heat?
I got classic white 2023 yr. Std zorst..I just lov it. Loads of fun. 85 miles on one gallon of gas. Black Kelpi looks awesome.. Classic black 😍😍😍😍
@@howardyarnold3133 Love this for you and thank you!
Hi! The waterproof boot to protect the connection cables that you installed, came with the quad lock wireless charger? Cause I didn't find it inside the package.
@@antoninolattene9895 Hey yes it did I’d contact Quad Lock if it didn’t come included
After 9 months of contemplation, I just pulled trigger bought this exhaust because of this video.
@@Highway9mm Awesome glad to hear it!
@@abitofsindydude, now that you’ve crowned your bike with an exhaust, can we get a run down of all your mods and a review on how you like the XSR700 so far?
@@Highway9mm Thats actually a good idea I’ll keep it in mind for future videos 🫡
@@abitofsindy thanks again for the video! You guys did a great job showing how to install the mounting bracket which wasn’t very clear in Kelpi’s video.
@@Highway9mm Thank you so much this comment means a lot!

@@coynecolm Thanks! ✨
Will see if i can get this exhaust in europe. Sounds great. What boots are these, that you are waering in the garage?

Anyone know if it’s possible to double up the light with a second light to make it brighter and thicker ( more visible )
@@RadishOtter Not sure if thats possible sounds like a cool idea though
How much was the price used?
Sold,
Hi, my english is very bad. Do I understand good? If I give auto it won’t broke my battery?
Good question I forgot to mention, there is a button behind the charger head you can turn off after you turn off your bike. It should not drain your battery if you leave it on due to the smart adapter but just to be safe you can manually turn it off and on.
Great video Sindy! Love that sound! Got my Kelpi exhaust recently and will be installing soon. This video will definitely help, thanks for the tips. Nice XSR too! Really like your seat...is that custom? Can't stand the stock seat. Want to find something flatter like the one on your bike.
Thank you and super stoked this video can help you out! This is a link to the video on how I “experimented” changing my seat. Best of luck! ua-cam.com/video/7496nkSg7Es/v-deo.htmlsi=VGZXi4LdA4ORNobY
Yeah you fitted that wrong the license plate holder should sit under the tail light not way down there above the wheel.
There’s actually two versions a standard and tucked version, I got the tucked version
Did you mess with the ECU?
@@JorgeHernandez-kc4gz Nope I’m looking into it
Hi there, Just got the exhaust, but couldn’t get the S-bracket aligned correctly there is like a really large gap between the S-bracket and muffler. Could you send some pictures of how yours S-bracket and muffler are connected?
Hey did you try contacting Kelpi? Also at 3:01-3:11 I have a shot of the S bracket attached lmk if that helps!
@@abitofsindyyeah I already contacted them.. I got an faulty S bracket so they sending me a new one :)
Bike's looking so good Sindy! Thanks for choosing us for your ride's soundtrack - we're stoked on this! 😃
Glad you like it!
Did you had to messed with anything else besides the full exhaust?? Like computer or chip?
Looking great! It seems we have similar tastes... Somehow we have the same bike, seat cover, and helmet (but nardo grey). I am also planning to buy the Kelpi shorty but I'm still debating on the stainless vs black ceracoated. Let us know how the ceracoat wears off I'm not confident it will last or break down eventually. Thanks!
Yes, we do! Also, I contacted Kelpi about the same thing since I couldn't decide between the black and stainless. They advised to clean the cerakote consistently with WD40 to avoid it from wearing off but only time will tell. I'll definitely let you all know if it wears down over time.
I'm thinking of putting a Kelpi Shorty on my 2021 MT-09 SP, I think the black ceracote will look sick. I'm just worried that it's going to be a bit too loud for me to enjoy longer rides. Your mic makes me feel like I'm right, but I'd like to ask how loud you think it is in person? I have an IXIL Hyperlow on my XSR700 and that is right on the money being just loud enough.
same bike, just put the same exhaust on yesterday too. didn't think i could love this bike anymore but oo wee im glad i was wrong.
Right on! Same here 🤩
Ya nice Job sounds great looks.... I thought she was gonna take off when I Heard the cop's..
Thanks and lol it was the ambulance
beast
Did you had to ECU tuned after putting the exhaust? Just curious.
No I didn’t, perhaps down the road
heck yeah! awesome choice! I just got the Kelpi shorty in the bronze cerakote. I'm excited to install it soon on mine
Haha thanks! That’s freaking awesome, you’re going to love it!
Looks good, sounds mint... I was so close to buying a Xsr700, but there was a few things I'd have to buy or replace.. its still very tempting, just a few changes and it's a perfect bike...
Thank you and yeah it’s already a very great bike on its own with so many possibilities. What was your other choice?
better safe than sorry... imo every bike should come with crash bars or at least sliders
100%
this is cool
Thanks!
Hey! Just wanted to ask you which kit did you get, with the dual load equaliser or not? And what is the difference between these two variants?
Hey, I got the tucked version without the dual-load equalizer. The difference is with the dual-load equalizer you get a slower flash rate while without, it flashes quicker. Hope this helps!
@@abitofsindy, thank you for the answer! It looks like it flashes slowly on your bike, do you have a flasher relay installed on it?
@@michaelpolishchuk158 No problem and I didn't install a flasher relay either
Hey! Just found your UA-cam channel. Relished your videos a lot! It'd be nice if you added some fragments of video, where the new accessories are being used at the end of your videos. Safe rides!
Awesome and thanks for the tip I will definitely keep this in mind for future videos. Safe travels!
I love my xsr700 waiting on my exhaust soon!
¡Hola! ¡¡Me encanta tu moto!!
Sweet I just purchased that same bike! 🤘
Awesome ride safe!
Back at ya!
Hello, great video! I have installed the Quadlock wireless charger aswell but i did not have the automatic switch off when the bike is parked. My solution to not drain the battery was to power the charging kit through the battery fuse. In the yamaha xsr700 manual the battery fuses are labled and i put my one onto the ignition fuse. Works perfect and i dont need an extra accessory in the small area under the seat ;) Keep on, ride safe :)
Oh wow even better thank you for sharing this! Thanks you too ☺️
Wow what an amazingly done video! You did great!!! So good at actually being super helpful!
Thank you glad it could help!
May I ask how tall you are and how you get your feet down and/or are happy with the handling? I love the bike, have yet to do my drivers license but I read the seatheight is 84 cm? I have a stride of 78, so my shoes would be dangling on either side, would find that scary to start on.
I'm 5'1". When I first got the bike (84cm) I was on my tippy toes so I would stop with one foot down and get of my bike when parking it. I ended up trimming the seat down (ua-cam.com/video/7496nkSg7Es/v-deo.htmlsi=X4gbPAPAxCFl2VcX) and the balls of my feet are now touching making me feel more confident when riding. You can also lower the suspension or the bike further if it makes you feel more comfortable.
@@abitofsindy thank you for replying! Yes I saw that video where you chopped off a bit of the cushion part of your seat. Unfortunately I have two left hands, but I would probably get this done plus the lowering just to make sure. I got a 125cc to get used to driving again, sold my car some 6 or seven years ago and I was overwhelmed with learning to drive a motorcycle plus getting into reading the traffic again. I feel a lot better now and less anxious but still am scared to do the drivers test, hope I find the courage someday, until then my xsr125 says hi to your bigger version(I have the same color:))!
@@kentower Not a problem. That's awesome you have the bike, congrats on that! Just take it day by day until you feel ready. Best of luck you got this! 🤩
Nice video. My XSR came with this tidy and I've always hated it. Takes away from the retro look of the bike. Plus my riding buddies can't tell when I'm braking cuz it's not very bright in full sun. And yes your back will get muddy every ride!
Thanks and so far I love it compared to the stock one, down the line who knows. I’m not afraid of some mud on my back, I’ve been soaked completely before through rainstorm rides lol. I’ll definitely have a rag on hand though based on your feedback. I appreciate it!
Is the xsr900 the same bike ?
No, it has a bigger engine than the XSR700. You can consider it the big brother of the 700 if that helps.
Beware, this kit doesn't fit the 2023 model. Too bad, it sure looks nice
Thanks for pointing this out, and yeah it really changed the look of the bike a lot
She does seem to be working on at least a 2022 model though and I cant see any change in the 2023 model.
Why?
Thanks for making this video! I was worried whether this particular crash bar would fit my XSR700 as it's marked as specific for Tracer 700, and your video clarified it for me. Gonna add these bars and some footpegs to them for long distance rides!
I’m very happy to hear it helped. Also that’s awesome best of luck on your adventures, and ride safe!
Riding my 700 almost everyday same color too
