    • @yuriystefanov4069
      @yuriystefanov4069 2 місяці тому

      @@traveltosomeplaces "Glarus" (European herring gull) is a term dating back to distant socialism. This is a character from whom the myth of Bulgarian hospitality towards beautiful foreign women started. He is a male personality, a lover and connoisseur of female beauty, who has worked out stereotypes of behavior towards romance-seeking, boring ladies. They call him "glarus" because its usual hunting grounds are the beaches. Its winter variety is the ski teacher.😊

    That is not Dracula castle because Vlad the Impaler never set foot in that castle.. that is just for turists like you.. Bran castle was built as a custom house as there was the border between Wallacia and Transylvania.. and NO... DRACUL comes from the order of the Dragons (his father was member of that order) not from drac which means devil... you were somehow missinformed on all that story or maybe you enjoy fiction rather than reality

    • @traveltosomeplaces
      @traveltosomeplaces 2 місяці тому

      Hi there, yes, the whole concept of Dracula's castle is definitely fictional as the book is fiction, but I suppose over the years, if you are a fan of the book and want to sort of feel like you are able to connect the book to a real place then Transylvania where the book is set - and this castle in Transylvania has become that associated place.

    I just visited Romania last summer, and I will post my visit soon in my YT channel. But I was with a local so I learned about the real history from a Romanian. Bran Castle was never the home of Vlad, nor have Bram Stoker ever saw it. In fact, it was just a castle that was transformed into a tourist attraction by the former communist government to make money. They just designated Bran Castle as "Dracula's Castle" even if there is no historical ties to Vlad Tepes nor Stoker. Even the furniture inside the castle isnt even original but were just donated by different people or organization. So again, no historical significance. But its still worth the visit for aesthetic values and for bragging privileges "I had seen Dracula's Castle". :) Locals are also making money by selling Dracula merchandise so its good for business. So the former communist government did succeed since it is now one of the most visited places in Romania. :)

    Originea supranumelui „Dracula” și a poreclei „Țepeș” Tatăl său, Vlad Dracul, fusese primit în Ordinul Dragonului. Ordinul - care poate fi comparat cu cel al Cavalerilor de Malta sau cu cel al Cavalerilor Teutoni - era o societate militaro-religioasă, înființat în anul 1408 de Sigismund de Luxemburg, împărat al Sfântului Imperiu Roman . Simbolul Ordinului era un dragon, iar scopul era apărarea creștinismului și cruciada contra turcilor otomani. Datorită apartenenței sale la Ordinul Dragonului, tatăl lui Vlad Țepeș era supranumit Dracul, după numele latin al Ordinului Dragonului (Draco). Porecla Țepeș i s-a atribuit lui Vlad al III-lea în urma execuțiilor frecvente prin tragere în țeapă pe care le ordona. Chiar turcii îl denumeau Kazıklı Bey, (Prințul Țepeș). Acest nume a fost menționat pentru prima oară într-o cronică valahă din 1550 și s-a păstrat în istoria românilor

    • @traveltosomeplaces

      In case you are reading this and speak English - this is the translation:. The origin of the nickname "Dracula" and the nickname "Tepeș" His father, Vlad the Dragon, had been accepted into the Order of the Dragon. The order - which can be compared to that of the Knights of Malta or that of the Teutonic Knights - was a military-religious society, founded in 1408 by Sigismund of Luxembourg, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. The symbol of the Order was a dragon, and the purpose was the defense of Christianity and the crusade against the Ottoman Turks. Due to his membership in the Order of the Dragon, Vlad Țepeș's father was nicknamed Draco, after the Latin name of the Order of the Dragon (Draco). The nickname Țepeș was attributed to Vlad III following the frequent executions by impalement that he ordered. Even the Turks called him Kazıklı Bey, (The Head Prince). This name was mentioned for the first time in a Wallachian chronicle from 1550 and has been preserved in Romanian history

    The difference between the kebabche and kyufte is that the kyufte may often have parsley, the soft part of bread, onion and/or spring onion, and egg. It's all up to the recipe used; there's not one universally used. The ones you had in this video most likely had onions, but I can't say if any of the other ingredients were used. The usual spices for both are salt, black pepper and cumin. The kyufte can sometimes have the plant Savory instead of cumin or in addition to it.
