How to shuck oysters at home
Don't be intimidated at the thought of shucking your own oysters! It's not difficult at all, and way cheaper than eating them in restaurants. Get an oyster shucking knife and go to it! The oysters I used in this video were Malpeques.
The seafood store I mentioned in the video is:
Diana's Seafood, 2101 Lawrence Ave. E., Toronto, Canada
www.dianasseafood.com/
I bought my oyster shucking knives there as well as the jar of minced horseradish.
Also, in case anyone's wondering, the platter is Wedgwood Queensware.

Make a simple birthday card - tutorial

With just a few tools - a card, some scraps of fancy paper, an adhesive roller and a couple of gel pens, you can make a quick birthday card! I used a Tombow adhesive roller and Gelly Roll pens. For more cards, crafts, artwork and other fun stuff, find me on Instagram and Pinterest: @craftypinko
Visit to the North Pole Bakery, Danforth at Greenwood, Toronto

The North Pole Bakery in Toronto's east end is a place of many delicious things, especially their arancini balls - rice balls made with a delicious ground meat filling. I also love their tarallini - crunchy little bread snacks flavoured with fennel seeds. They're located at 1210 Danforth just a few doors east of Greenwood on the north side. If you call ahead in the morning (416-466-6435), they'...

Music on the 506 Carlton streetcar by Tom Smarda
Переглядів 17811 років тому
This is an original song by Tom Smarda. My husband and I met Tom on the 506 Carlton streetcar in Toronto on the way to the J26 Rally for Rights and Democracy on January 26, 2013. The streetcar was crowded, and we were at the very back of the car. First he played a Frank Zappa song (which I didn't get on video but was excellent), and then he played this song while I took a video. As we were leav...

There are no dumb questions! The answer is that I don't know because I've never grilled them. :)
