Abra having one eye almost open in gold version is really cool, probably the coolest Abra sprite in any game. 3:42 Paras' sprites in gold and crystal and Parasect's sprite in silver and gold almost look like OG Gen I sprites. 2:55 Crystal's Vileplume sprite is the best, so distinguished. 3:32 Dittos gold sprite is melting. 3:50 Wobbuffet's silver sprite looks depressed. 4:27 Golducks Crystal sprite is probably the only sprite in that game to lose more color, it's really weird. 5:46 Silver's staryu sprite can get up, same with Starmie. 6:57 Silver's Mantine sprite is really unique, looks like its flying. 8:12 Silver probably has the only sprite depicting Mew standing up. 10:24 Over all i like crystal the best especially because of how they move though that usually means they chose less dynamic positions. Gold seems to me to have the highest highs and lowest lows but has some of my favorites. Silver is just consistently super solid and is my runner up to Crystal.

You can tell that crystal got most of their sprites from gold or they got half and half from Gold and silver and they chose the best looking sprites in their opinion or whatever the company voted for which sprite should be in Crystal from the other two games and also some of the Pokémon have exclusive sprites as well in Crystal like houndoom and Pikachu kind of

The 'remastered' Blue sprite for Fearow is a downgrade from the Red/Green sprite.

I prefer the Pokedex order here over the Nationaldex we are used to see in all the games! Everything is organized according to new cross-gen evolutions and the top tier "KanJo" pokemon are placed in the end.

It's weird how in some versions, the originals actually had better sprites than either Blue or Yellow, Porygon being the obvious example.

You know, with alot of the Green to Blue sprites the only difference is the pose. 🤔

Some sprites were great from the get-go, and I'd say a few become worse, but the vast majority of them portray an image so much better in yellow versions that it doesn't even look like they have the same resolution

The dirt on digglet's sprite shows the change in talent best imo, in yellow it is actually a mound of dirt, in the previous versions it is just a mess of dark pixels not even trying to form an image

I'm so glad Ivysaur & Venusaur got a design overhaul in Japanese Blue/American + European Red & Blue. Sure it was based on the Beta designs, but i can't imagine what artists might've thought about those designs.
