ja ich muss sagen dast schon interesant so ein oval! echt geiler sport, man sitzt da oder wie man sieht die leute laufen völlig desinteresiert rum, weils einfach so schweinemäßig interesant ist den autos zu zusehen wie die sich überholen beim anbremsen einer kurve, und vor allem wie die durch die kurven bügeln das ist der hammer, ja und ich glaub dass man deshalb auf dem video auch so viele mit bier in der hans sehen kann, denn nüchtern packste das einfach nicht.

Thank you for the video from many perspectives. Thompson may be one of the best tracks for modifieds. My wife and I were there on Oct 8, 1978 and watched from those bleachers when Fred Desarro went over the turn 3/4 old style dirt barriers during practice which at that moment seemed relatively harmless compared to many of the incidents. His death resonated heavy through the racing community. Despite the eventual tragic outcome of that the day was a memorable one which sticks for a lifetime. Living near Charlotte it is great to see the old short track still thriving. Great videos.
