Shes a teardown
I did better on windows with no experience
I have a feeling this guy has no idea what he’s talking about.
Maybe you're right. Perhaps you should show everyone how great you are?
I'm a carpenter. I was in between jobs and I found an appliance guy to work for. Turns out he owns a bunch of commercial property and residential. I worked on one home for him. It was a two-story colonial home. Stone foundation with some crawl space. Etc. I'm redoing a master bathroom and bedroom. I have to redo the floor joists. The waterman for the house was under the floor. It kind of got Disturbed and started leaking. All old corroded pipe. No way it could be fixed with out replacing service were it toes into the city etc. is this cheap ass dude wanted to fix it with flex wrap or whatever. Close it all up. Finish and sell the home. 👍
I’m gonna just use my sand filter without chlorine and get some small fish that come in and out with me with their habitat being inside and swim with me outside. What say you? I have a Best way above the Ground Pool similar to yours and I love it.
Looks like he was having fun... ( He was not.).. 😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Not bad.. couldn't do it better if I did it myself..
Maybe if you had a helper though...
Dude. You should've just hired a few mexicans and have that project run smooth. You live, you learn,
I like doing the work....most days lol
You rplacing the hall floor also? And yeah pants and boots mate, its hot but, thats the alternative. Put a drop cloth in the hall next time.
Hallway floor is getting replaced
Never thought to put on some pants?
Nope
August 7.
At the end of day shit work still looks and smells like shit
It's pretty but I can't imagine reaching that high to get things in and out of a microwave. Also kids coming in from the living room and touching that hot stove with no side.
I agree about the microwave. We discussed that with the owner and that is what she wanted.
Did the two dudes in this video also do the “design”? Yikes, so many issues. No right side or left side drop off for the stove, that short-order-cook pass through thing , really busy visuals on the finishes. Sorry, it looked better before! Why wouldn’t you just pant the cabinets, replace the ctops and maybe change hardware? The layout was much better before. This is why you get professional help on major renovations. Even big box stores will help you with a layout. Big waste of money, I hope this isn’t meant as a flip because it will be a big detractor, not an incentive.
Stop hiring non Americans. And you will see
Weird comment....the American workers are the ones who did this shitty work. I get much better results using non-Americans
love your video!
The upstairs will look much better with the paneling removed. I know it caused a lot more work but it was the right choice.
Thanks. It was a tough decision because the client is not giving any extra funds for me to do this.
Big difference, it’s funny the house I just finished on my channel I used the same or very close to it flooring and painted the bedrooms gray like you did. Like minded 😂
It’s always hard dealing with trades/subs everywhere. That’s why over time I have learned to do as much of the work as possible on the homes on my channel. It’s always fun looking at the before and after pictures 👍
Pretty much the same here. I used to sub 90% out and do the 10%. Now I do 90% and sub out 10% (if any at all).
That house looks very similar to the house on my channel that I recently renovated 👍
I'll check it out
Not bad
Wow, the finishing is awful
Cheap work isn't good. Good work isn't Cheap.
Stop being cheap, holy shit.
what did you expect going with the cheapest guy in town? The amount of times RE investors screwed me over I find this funny🤣🤣🤣
Don’t ya think yur bein a little PICKY?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
you can have the outlet sideways, but it is wrong the hot plug goes on the bottom they just have to flip the outlet around
Why are you using knotted pine for trim ?? Cheap as hell 😮💨😞😞😞
Most investors don't live in the state and hire whoever they can get to work in Detroit. I'm surprised everything installed wasn't Stolen by the neighbors.
Just looking at the wall and ceiling paint in the intro made me say wtf out loud. Sheetrock is about the worst I've ever seen, baseboard is dog shit, trim is shit. I feel bad for homeowners that have to deal with shit like this, and I feel bad for the builder who did this trash and said "this is fine"
Had me until you said your price point was 150k 😂😂😂 Granite countertops in a 150k house??😂😂😂 I also don’t blame the “contractors” I blame the GC and if it’s you, it’s your fault for not staying on top of the workers. 😂😂😂
He thinks granite belongs in a 150k house😂😂😂
that authentic early ghetto is hard to duplicate
Doesnt sound like youre doing it too much better to be honest with you. Youre simply doing a patch job using crap materials on a house that looks older than modern. If you wanted to do anything correctly than your starting point should always be to use real materials and real carpentry and real skills and real talent and real knowledge and real everything. It takes time and work number one. It takes passion and high quality information. You have to have a true understanding of back in those times. A real know how. So the first place to begin actually is with studying the archives for any and every bit of information on that house, the entire neighborhood, who owned it, who built it and why, who lived in it, what materials were used, what construction methods were used, what grain of wood and clay pf brick was used, what type of mortar and ratio of mix, what brand of paint and shade of color, what type of everything and who and how it was laid down, I mean every last detail completely and fully all the way through and through. It takes love and care inside your soul. It comes through with every brush stroke. You dont just slap things together just because it seems like a good idea. One example of many is the dry wall for example. NEVER EVER EVER replace plaster walls with chalk paper in an older house. Youve just down graded it by a million miles and shown youre incompetence in an eye blink. Just that quickly. You need to take the time to install the lathe boards properly and take the time to mix the lime plaster a little at a time by hand and take the time to apply it with proper keying by hand and take the time to make sure its smooth and nice. If you dont know how than dont touch it. Leave that house and go down the road where you belong. Dont go anywhere near something youre ignorant about. Leave it alone! There are too many examples of this for me to list on here, but the point is that you dont know what youre doing at all on older houses and this entire job is utter rubbish. Your first mistake is trying to make a fast buck to begin with. Being one of these capitalist home flippers or con artists or contractors or whatever you want to call yourself its all the same thing. Youre a scam artist, a con man plain and simple all the way through and through just like the rest of them. About the only thing I saw here that was even halfway on the right track were the stairs. You dont need risers for stairs. Even though the workmanship wasnt so good, the general idea of building stairs using that method is very old school and proper for the time period. Especially in 1960s mid century modern homes. And in the UK too. Except they can be made even more elaborate than that of course and should be and by a hand who really knows what he is doing. There are some of us still around too. You have to know and fully understand history and heritage and materials and time periods and it takes experience and study for many years of dedication and hard work to achieve things the right way. You dont just wake up on a whim one day at your mcdonalds job and up and decide to go messing with things you dont understand in order to make some buck. Thats how things get ruined. I should know because once upon a time way back when I made that mistake too like an idiot. Its a horror story. Thats fine for modern homes because who cares, they are all garbage anyway, but not for older homes like this. And the evidence shows even to the next clueless idiot trying his own hand at it. Even he knows something isnt right even if he himself cant quite understand what it is exactly either. Man, you dont have a clue about these older homes at all. Yeah, I feel for the home owner too because she is about to get raped yet again by you. Man you dont have a single clue!
I’d call in an excavator!
Hey Tony, Your thumbnails or your videos is so beautiful and you have been uploading 90+ videos, but none of your videos are getting views, likes, subscribers, it is normal because you have not given any of your videos to an SEO expert to SEO and optimize your videos 😐. With a score of 60 out of 100, this is your most popular video with 128k views.
The cheapest bid isn’t always the cheapest bid…
How do you let this happen is the question?
Tony on inspecting this abortion you either minimized the damage or you need binoculars for glasses.
Wow, this guy knows so much about construction, I think maybe he should take some time out of his busy schedule of blaming people he hired and just do the damn work himself.
Good gravy. That’s is horrible work. Complete redo needed.
You should see the first video, this is better, but a far cry from quality.. even with the camera spinning at 100 mph, I can see all the hack work. I would charge 40K in just labor, but that house would be mint when done.
Cheapo 🤡🤡
Don’t go on you tube and try to play the victim, you and you alone are responsible for checking on your investments . Start hiring reputable contractors and monitor the work being done.
Cheap ass owner complaining 😂😂😂 I love it when people go with the cheapest bid then call me back to fix up their mistakes, I just told them to hire somebody else or do it themselves learning from UA-cam, I don’t deal with cheap asses, they are picky and like to cause problems
Love the man’s laugh!
You hire guys you KNOW do good work and have witnessed it firsy hand. Otherwise, you're a an order taker, not a GC.
I've seen sites like this. Meth head crews
What ever happened to this project? I’m curious…..
Put a tent over that circus. Too much going on at one time. Lead abatement is a thing on old distressed homes. Your contractors might as well smoke a lifetime worth of cigarettes taking on that job. Moral will suffer when one contractor stirs up dust that every other contractor has to breath without proper protection/ventilation. Dust/lead paint in walls of old homes is ultra toxic and will eat at your central nervous system and create havoc. When a contractor bids this type of job, many don't understand the total scope of work because it's hidden from them . Then they go to complete the work and have to do so in a hazardous environment. Hence the half ass.
