@TheRustFarm I'm trying to remember where I saw it, it may have been my shop manual . But they were available before or after my particular vin number

@@TheRustFarm and the interior door pulls are ugly. But the truck is a survivor so I'll keep it original.if and when I get a w series it'll have to be pre 68.

@@timbarry5080 I know 67 was the first year for the push button handles but I would have to look at my 67 to see what inner panels it has I can’t remember if it has plastic or if it’s still steel

@TheRustFarm that would be a big help! But truth be told, though I prefer the older style, I wouldn't turn down another 68 .. but it has to have the ribbed hood.. so i guess 68 is the latest, if I remember what you said.

@TheRustFarm another fun fact: my 68 dually has 6 lug wheels. I had to track down a good rear drum, which wasn't easy. The guy I got it from said they only used the 6 lug setup for two years. I guess they went to eights after that. But I don't know what they used before.

@@tertessa there were a couple for sale but far away and they weren’t Fargo’s and were in rough shape and double what I paid for my 60 so it had to be done

@@lookingthroughice7843 yeah they aren’t know for being great but growing up we had a 1980 f250 with a 351m and it survived my uncles and brothers and mine abuse as teenagers and all the years chasing cows and farm abuse it got a rebuild before we sold it five years ago but just rolled bearings and rings in just to refresh it didn’t really need it

Yeah it has zero rust but it rubbed a tree at some point in its life and the passenger door and b pillar are smashed

That is the exact reason I clicked on the video. It's amazing after 2 years how a modern truck can be turned to a pile of rust and these old trucks sit for years and are still solid! That's mind boggling!

I have three carbureted vehicles; 84 Ram Charger 4-inch lift and one-ton axles 360 granny gear 4-speed lockers front and rear, my snowplow vehicle, I bought cleated chains for deep snow ouch they were expensive. 84 Dodge dually, 360 OD 518 tranny. 74 CJ5, J20 axles lockers alloys in the front, granny gear tranny, dana 300 transfer case, 73 340 engine. The carbs dry out after a week of sitting so it is always a pain to crank the starter until I get fuel in the carb, sometimes I just fill the float bolls by hand, except the jeep which has an electric fuel pump. But damn after 34 years the head gasket let go in the 340 so I have to fix that, aren't they supposed to last forever? I think 1970 was the last time I saw minus twenty down here. Keep those Mopars running, the environmentalist wants to ban classic cars, libtards.
