How much recoil will the hikmicro TH35PC handle ? Is a Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55 too much recoil
I'm on the hunt for a thermal I can actually afford. Thought this might fit the bill. The other reviews I've seen were positive. I am glad for your opinion. Now off to find something else that might be a good fit. Thanks for the review!
I was at the demonstration last night - great info thanks. How does the WILD 335L compare to this? Do you get a similar image? I can't remember comparing these two in my head at the time.
Have you got a link to the Wheeler Torque kit you’re using?
Yep it’s this one www.huntthenight.com.au/wheeler-fat-wrench-new-2024
Hi mate, is there any word that this would work with the mate MAH50? It could connect to your day scope?
Nah you have to use the mate one for the mate. This one only works with the tube. www.huntthenight.com.au/products/infiray-mate-lrf-attachment
Thanks for the video Very interesting to listen to detailed thorough knowledge of a broad range of products and applications . I have used dedicated thermal scopes for years but now I have my first clip on it’s a krypton fxg My genuine pulsar scope ring adapter attaches to the bayonet style fitting on the end of the fxg I have noticed there’s also a threaded section on the fxg that is not used. During your video you mention a type of adapter ring that is perfectly size specific with no shims. Can u please tell me does this adapter attach to the threads of my fxg or to that poxy bayonet system that I’m nervous about ?
Any news about whats next from puksar nv scope? Whats next after C50
Haven’t heard anything but no bought they’ll be doing something as the C50 is really struggling against things like the Hikmicro Alpex 4k
@@HuntTheNight I'm fascinated what they might bring out . I hope for more long range clarity...6k sensor?...larger objective lens.. Custom ballistic reticle...lrf/ballistics of course. What would you like? Where could alpex 4k be improved? Thanks.
@misterlewgee8874 that would all be cool but I don’t see Puslar doing it. NV is a very very small and neglected part of their product range, I could see someone like HIKMICRO or Pard doing it.
@@HuntTheNight interesting...didn't know pulsar wasn't too interested in NV...but..guess that shows with no new NV scope for ages...not even c50 with lrf... I'm looking forward to development in NV...even though I hunt thermal... Your VMAX prices look good...😉
We do try keep projectiles as cheap as possible :)

fantastic info thank you
Thanks for covering the RTZ/QD mounts. One attraction to digital scopes is being able to swap it across multiple firearms with their RTZ profiling, i have my thermal scope setup on .22 LR, .222 and 350 Legend on Mil std Pic rails and a quality QD RTZ mount, all screws etc torqued to their certain specs and have not had any issues with RTZ. Quality Rings and machining have come a long way, good to see the Aus mad rings performing well here.
Hate to burst your bubble but non of the mounts you covered are a true return to zero, you may have gotten lucky but thats about it, a true return to zero mount is for example the EAW, your Blaser type prepiotary mounts and also tne Sauer 404 or now 505 type, I have been making mounts and gunsmithing for over 30 years, you just fluked it, as for repeatability they wo t hold zero.
@@garybalasa3158 I guess I’ve been getting lucky for years then as I do this every day with the same return to zero.
Not with mil std Pic rail mate, most of the mounts you reference (EAW, Blaser etc) are primarily for proprietary rail bases (i.e non Mil Std Pic rails) that really aren't setup for the RTZ rings, mounts covered here. My advise is to anyone looking into scope mounts, bases etc is to convert your base to a Pic rail then the worlds your oyster on good quality RTZ/QD mounts and you're not locked into proprietary expensive mounts.
You mean the Infiray remote that you can't get batteries for in Australia
@@garybalasa3158 been a long time since I used the CH50 but pretty sure I used a CR2032 instead of the CR2030
Good video guys i enjoyed it 👍
Do you guys know if there is a firmware update for the TP25SE? Mine freezers every now and again when the shutter works and last night would not turn on at all but still could hear the shutter working. It eventually turned on but frustrating for only a few months old. Thanks
Most likely a hardware issue. I’d have a chat to who you got it from and get a warranty claim going.
@@HuntTheNightDo you think keep using it until it's unbearable and then bother with warranty (withing warranty period of course)? Forgot the ocular ring has never been able to turn on it. More force then I'm comfortable putting on it won't move it. Sharpness is fine for my eye but could be better I'll never know lol.
Hey Ben, great side by side comparison. Thanks. In the vid, the V1 is near contantly twitching/caching, where the V2 appears smooth... Can you comment? Was it perhaps just a bad cable or wifi? Or is that how it is when viewing? Thanks
..........................................
Where can I find the video on how to move my range finder reticle?
Great show, keep it up. Would like to see more on mounts QD etc... Filmed & uploaded in 4k would be a bonus!
Do I need to re zero my scope once if done the update or will it stay the same
At last an honest review of the Thermion HD, Thanks Lads. The sooner Pulsar sort the PIP fault the better. The scope is useless with this fault and it is a fault. Not a fan of the zoom on this either. Only good for close in work as you rightly point out. A rat shooters dream. Anything above 7x and the image is pixelated due to the initial low 1.75 base mag reducing that good clear image by 4x, which on a hi resolution screen does not make for a good quality image. Try closing the front cover and zooming up, that shows how bad the pixelation is, 14x zoom is not even a picture, its a random collection of quite big boxes. I got one to extend my shooting range and pretty annoyed as the scope image is not good enough at the distances required. Pulsar can you please listen to these guys and sort out this scopes list of issues. Cheers.
Thanks for the comments mate, we do try and be straight down the line with our thoughts on products. Totally agree about the digital magnification, its disappointing to see companies promote products as HD without any image loss during high levels of digital zoom, its not just misleading, its flat out lying.
Do you have any PARD reviews
We really only sell the DS35 and NV007 line form PARD, we haven't really been impressed with their thermals yet.
Informative for a novice like me on thermals.
Just skipped through your video and didn't hear any mention of GSCI thermals for high end? Any reason for overlooking them?
They don’t make a HD unit. These two units are 1280 and 1024 sensors. Fair to say that GSCI scopes are built like bricks but their features and image quality isn’t close to what’s available on the market these days, but the GSCI market is a different market more focused on law enforcement than outdoor.
Thanks for the honest reply, much appreciated Ben.@@HuntTheNight
@WayneErickson-dg8lf you’ll always get that from us mate
Really enjoying the weekly updates. Keep it up 👍
We enjoy making them mate :)
I purchased the TP25 from you guys and have shot 55 foxes in 2 months with it on one small property. Taken many out to 150m 🤷. Spot and stalk, no car.
that's awesome to hear mate!
What kind of calibre does it go on
Up to a 375 H&H
What does the monitor need to have to live stream from the device?
needs a HDMI input
Whats the wire on top of the battery lid? Can it be remove or is that wire sending power to the device. I know the original 007s does not have a wire sticking out.
That just hold the cap in place when you take it off so you can’t lose it.
any way of speeding it up Ben. ??? or is that the quickest buddy
Great info guys.
The app no longer works this way. From what I can see the wifi update is broken as the app won’t allow searching for an update unless the device is connected. But if the device is connected then you can’t search the internet.
Come a long way Ben amazing
cheers mate, its been a journey :)
Is the 22 creed ruger available is Aus?
Has a good image but thats it, it's a average product, I regretted being talked into buying it, product has to many flaws,
What kind of issues you having mate? They’ve been highly successful for InfiRay and we’ve had very very few complaints over the 100s we’ve sold.
I love mine
very timely vid given our chat this week with the RH50R haha
Nice video fellas, good to see ballistic calc's getting incorporated into some of the more streamline thermal ranges now. Would love to see some in front QD mount solutions come on line rather than clip on or scope only options. Would go well on the Wedgy! Plenty of examples of these setups in action in the us on AR platforms.
Great video Ben,looking at getting into thermal either monocular or scope ....nothing to crazy
Cheers mate, we had a lot of fun putting it together :)
Great video boys. Nice to put a face to blokes who have taken $1,000’s of my 💵💵💵
Greetings, Ben, I have had a lot of problems for a long time calibrating the scope and I hope you can help me. Sometimes it shoots well and sometimes it shoots lower or higher. Do you have any idea why this could happen? And another question, is it necessary to calibrate the 2 lenses at the same distance if you are only going to use 1? Right now I have the 20 lens calibrated at 80 meters and the 60 to 100 lens in profile A and 170 meters in profile B (I only use B) for shooting. Thank you so much
Hi, mine does the exact same thing, have you found a fix?
Is this available for android yet?
Ripper- thankyou. This was really starting to p*ss me off.
Perfect, thanks!
ANy chance doing a comparison of this 4K and the new PArd DS 35 Gen 2?
TX60C model was announced in the US market by IRAY (infiray distributor for USA) which has a 3X base mag, do you know if this model is coming to european market as well? I think 3x base mag has an edge over to 2x mag for long range while foxing/zooming. thanks!
From what I’m told it’ll be a USA exclusive as it’s a 1028x1028 sensor not a 1280 sensor.
@@HuntTheNight oh my bad, haven't noticed it was a different sensor. I do not know the calculations, but the bigger sensor on the TS60 should compensate the lower base mag at same zoom level? i.e. 8x for picture quality?
Does this work with pardvision2??? I can’t find the app in settings?
Ares 360 v Pulsar Talion XQ35 pro. Which would you have ?
Well if you watch my talion review you’d know the answer :) the Ares is a FAR superior unit to the Talion, but you also cannot compare the two given the Ares has a 60mm focal length which creates a much more detailed picture
Hi Ben, just trying to set up a new ballistic calculation on the smart thermal app but when trying to set up new presets NOT from the directory there is no way of saving them. On your video you have a done button to top right hand side which I do not, just next which doesn't safe inputs? Model is a Vidal 360L version V2.1.10 and smart thermal app is 3.1.2 Just wondered if you've come across this issue? Thanks in advance John
I greatly appreciate the drawings thank you
Hi Ben, I've a question off topic you might be able to help me with. I have a ares 660 and I'm trying to find the RAV threshold setting for a 22.250 I've tried several avenues without success. Many thanks Nick.
Gday Nick, Thermtec suggest for the Ares for it to be 220. I haven’t done a lot of testing with the RAV as yet, but I’ll try do some over the next week or so.
@@HuntTheNight many thanks for the info Bwn
Nice looking piece of kit!! I have the TH50 V2 and it is an awesome scope!! Will there be a firmware update for the TH50 V2 for the ballistic calculator? Be nice if this feature was available seen as the V2 hasn't been out that long! Hopefully Infiray don't just forget about there previous products and offer this ballistic calculator function for the V2.
yep thats in the works now. hopefully we'll see it in the next 4-8 weeks.
Hi Ben, hope you are well. Would you happen to know the RAV threshold setting for a 22.250. Cal? Just an appropriate number will help, many thanks Nick.
