Time left before a road trip the Cummins Swap is needed for has beat money for the Exhaust System I wanted to install. The factory 2.5" tailpipe will have to do for now, and I went with a Walker 3" in/out welded muffler and some good 3" pipe I massaged into place. Call it hillbilly if you like, it won't bother me.

1985 XJS V12 The engine runs great. This car is for sale complete or just the V12 engine. Electronics have been unreliable causing the car to occasionally stall and not restart.
i have a 1999 chevy 2500 7.4 liter and the exhaust rusted off right after the engine, it is so fucking loud i cant even hear myself think when im driving, i love it though

How did you get the oil gauge and rpm gauge to work?

Actually, the exhaust is pretty quiet... not sure how you smelled the video, you may need to have your computer checked out.
Hello was this a direct drop in I have a cougar with a 302 I was thinking of doing this swap
Did you custom make the accessory brackets? I'm working on the same swap with a 99 Suburban.
I used the bracket consider a "mid-mount" A/C bracket, it came off of a Ford F700. I used an A/C compressor for a Kodiak, to have GM style P fittings for the manifold and GM style clutch connector, and I had custom made the lines. I used my OEM alt. by cutting the original thermostat housing down for my alt. *Disclaimer* While I have been using this setup since I put the Suburban on the road, 20k + miles, and it has stayed together... I do know that the current belt configuration is not giving me enough belt wrap around the A/C pulley. The A/C is weak at an idle and cruising at low speeds because the belt is actually slipping on the pulley. I would like to re configure my belt routing/tensioner set up to work better. I dont know if it needs to be completely different. I'd love to hear what you come up with!
Also, I custom made the bracket which bolts the lower alt. bolt to the A/C compressor.
What is that upper radiator hose from? It fits nicely. If you didn't add fans it may be why your AC is weak at idle, no flow over the condensor. When i was first experimenting with the Cummins swap my K2500 LD never had fans but never had cooling issues.
@@bluenecross Upper Rad hose is from a 1st Gen Dodge, I used a piece of hose from my original 454 upper rad hose as a sleeve/adapter. I do have an electric fan that is on while the A/C is on.

This sounds amazing! 97 K3500 here with a brand new motor in it. Thank you for posting this. May have to do this instead of the flowmaster.

I didn't build it with the intent to sell it. But I wouldn't rule out selling it. It was so much fun to do the swap, I'd do it again if I sold this one.

marquis bolden Yes it sounds even better in person. Only about 76 ish decibels inside the truck when you get on it. I used a "Y" connector on the tailpipe and ran both after cat pipes to it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
