Thank you for sharing these beautiful and vulnerable stories. You are both so strong and amazing. Hearing birth stories always makes me feel so proud and grateful to be a woman. There truly is no other experience in this life that I would consider more sacred than bringing a sweet baby into the world. I especially loved hearing how you think these experiences have changed you & made you better!! Transformative is the perfect word- you described the birth experience so well! I’m so so sorry for all the hard and scary things you both went through, but I’m SO grateful you came out of it ready to help others and advocate for yourselves too! Love you both TONS❤

LOVED this episode!!! Such an important topic. I especially loved the focus on separating mistakes/choices/bad reactions from who you are!! It can be hard to remember that in the moment, but the more often we remind of ourselves of these things outside of the tough moments, the better we’ll get at remembering them in the moment too! I’m definitely in the girl camp of trying to love & respect my body in all stages. It’s a tough one, but I’ve had the same thoughts about not wanting my own daughters to ever hear me say something bad about my body. I’m just NOT going to teach them that. My heart would be absolutely broken if that is something they learned from me.

Love this pep talk!! Gotta take care of yourself so you can be more available, willing, and mindful when taking care of others. I super enjoy working out & have made that my priority for some “me time” every day. My little girls expect it & are so good about letting me do it. My toddler joins in most days too. I love when my toddler tells me to turn on my workout in the morning. It’s like she recognizes that I am feeling better after I get that workout in. Also! A tip to avoid mind-numbing scrolling: utilize those screen time limits!! Set time limits in those apps that suck you in & even have your spouse set the passcode so you’re not tempted to hit that “15 more minutes” button😆. Instagram has become a space for me to support my friends in their endeavors & to get updates from friends and family- that’s it!! I noticed that the attention & time given to videos made by strangers / irrelevant reels were giving me absolutely nothing in life. So out with the mindless scrolling! We only have time for what really matters in life because life moves so dang fast!!!❤

I’m so sorry you didn’t know I wasn’t technically a photographer at the time! Glad it all worked out too and that you guys allowed yourselves to be Guinea pigs so I could learn and grow so much with that. I love Nathan for this too. And Hyrum who’s so similar to him always encouraging me to go for things! Love that you are so passionate about child development and how blessed your girls are for dedicating so much effort and love into raising them. Such a good mama!! And the pottery! I can’t wait to see what you make. Using your hands for something creative is seriously an amazing outlet! I have done some pottery in the past (super super newbie stuff) but it was so incredibly fun!! 🫶🏼

Nathan is SO good at supporting & encouraging people to move past their fears! Love him for that. Also so funny because I had no idea that you actually weren’t a photographer at the time, but so grateful for how it all worked out!😂❤ I am passionate about creating a magical childhood for my girls. I seek to infuse fun into every single day & be intentional about the things we do. I spent a lot of time researching child development while earning my bachelors degree & that gave me a passion for formulating a life for my children that is optimal for their growth and development. I love challenging & teaching my children and then watching them grow. I am so passionate about that. Also- I am starting a new hobby this year! I’ve always thought that pottery looks so fun & am a huge fan of all the beautiful things made through pottery, so I decided to give it a try this year!! I’m excited to learn & grow in this new hobby!
