First person exploration videos. There is a lot of New York content, as I live nearby and there's so much to see there, but there's also footage from a variety of other places, from suburban New Jersey to Berkeley, Stockholm, and more.

JFK Boulevard walkdown - part 1

We start on Washington St in Hoboken (because why not film a little more) and make our way up the Hudson waterfront to Weehawken and the area near the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel (which goes to around the Javits Center in Manhattan) where JFK Boulevard begins (or the East portion of it, anyway - I'm counting it). We start at the entrance to the Socrates Sculpture Park (where Broadway Ave ends) and walk down (or about as near as we can get to it, anyhow) the waterfront all the way to the southwesternmost tip of Queens. It's like a Final Fantasy capitol city location around there.

Up 31st from Astoria Blvd N/W stop through Ditmars, all the way to the Con Edison compound in the NW corner of Queens. West along its southern border to the river, then back down the waterfront, through Hellgate Park (where we read up on the horrific General Slocum disaster), and to the entrance to Socrates Sculpture Park at Vernon & Broadway

A walk around some small suburban towns that are maybe ~45 minutes west of Manhattan's Penn Station on the commuter train. Probably, plenty of people live here who work in the city, although there is some local commercial life also. Starting from the town market/bodega I walk further down Main St past some of the fancy condos, and then continue south down the eastern waterfront all the way to the smallpox hospital near the southern tip. There's more though!

The spectacularly august FDR memorial at the southern tip, with a clear view of the UN building across the water. Then, back up through the Cornell mini-campus to the tramway station to close up the loop. Thanks for watching!

once i learned about caffeine having a relationship w poor sleep i stopped many years ago. i think i am a type of person who is acutely sensitive to substances in general. most of the time i take half of an advised dosage and still feel as if it is too much/can be reduced slightly more.
